What a fun attraction to do with my husband and 2 adult children! We saw the good reviews and decided to make a night out of it on our trip. Also, Yesterday was a special show: Max the Magician shared the show with Melanie Rubin. She was able to tell us what women really want from men with Max's help. There was comedy, magic and even information! They Feed us with cookies, drinks, sausage on crackers and gave women daffodils! The tricks were great fun and all spectators were invited to participate. Note that the main charm of it all is that this theatre seats a maximum of 24. A very intimate show! The best part of the evening was that even though we were so close to the act or even part of it, we could not figure how Max did it.

A wonderful show and wonderful showmanship! We had a great time and couldn't even come close to figuring out how he did his illusions. The whole audience was included in the show and it was fun to be on stage with Max, he made you feel so at ease. We've seen David Copperfield, and although David can produce huge illusions, the illusions Max performed where more amazing because we were sitting 2 feet away. Hard to get away with any hanky panky when your audience is so close. Loved the show!

What a fun way to spend an evening! The venue is simple and intimate, with graduated seating allowing everyone to see, and lights and music that complement the entertainment rather than detracting from it. Max, himself, is funny and genial, and his engaging act allows the entire audience get involved, either singly or as a whole (there’s one card trick, in particular, that everyone gets to experience—and if you do it right, you’ll be flabbergasted by the result!). I was particularly impressed with his card tricks, and I loved the wide variety of both card tricks and other magic that were included. I was also impressed with how multimodal the results were: cards, words, images, tunes—Max can guess them all. Definitely recommended, and fun for the whole family! (Also, Max mentioned that he adapts the show according to his audience, so it encourages repeated attendance. I’ll definitely be returning!)

Max's show is unlike anything I've seen! It is fun, it is interesting and the best $15 bucks I've spent in a while. I've always been cynical about magic but Max is such a genius at what he does and he had me truly confounded. He is a great guy and is very passionate about his craft. It shines through in his show. He engages the audience and makes it a fun, worthwhile experience. Try out the show, you won't regret it! Max's magic show and shop are a huge part of my memorable weekend in Albuquerque!

My hubby and I had so much fun at Max's magic show. The tricks, or should I say miracles, were mind blowing. And he made us, the audience, the center of the show. Would do this again in a heartbeat. Thanks Max we loved it!

At Max show i was engaged the whole time. If visiting in Albuquerque or just looking to do something different max magic shop i s a must stop. With different magic tricks you can take home and learn. Or sit down and watch his amazing show. He has something for everyone. Very nice guy and very approachable. He even offers magic classes that I attend with my kids. His shows are affordable and fun, without all the Vegas lights this is definitely a top ten must do in Albuquerque. So make sure you stop in and say hi to Max and see Max magical theater.

This is great fun for families, friends, kids, and couples alike! There's something for everyone in the magic theater! Max knows how to put on a show and does a great job interacting and including his audience. The theater is comfortable and allows for everyone to feel so close to the magician himself! If you are looking for something unique and out of the ordinary, attend this awesome magic show! Highly recommended.

We visit Albuquerque often. Decided to visit Max's Magic Theatre because of the stellar reviews here and other travel sites. We were not disappointed. For the life of me I cannot understand how one reviewer only gave two stars. She must have been at a different show. Max is engaging, funny and an excellent table top magician. It is not Las Vegas, but is just plain FUN. Everyone in the audience takes part. Max makes sure of that. You will not be disappointed. It is a wonderful show for children through adult. Next time we will bring our grandson.

Max is such a great guy. I met him at his magic shop and knew I had to go back to see his show. The theatre is a really cozy black box with great technology, and the show was entertaining from start to finish. I highly recommend.

Max Krause's show is fun, fast paced and engaging! A can't miss when you're in Albuquerque. His magic shop is very well stocked, as well. Whether you're a fan of magic, or even a magician yourself, you'll come away intrigued by this presentation.

We traveled from Colorado and stumbled upon this amazing gem. All ages will adore Max! We had a 9 and 11 yr old and they were blown away! Everyone is involved. The magic shop has many affordable and awesome items. We bought several items and we're told we could return and be give some assistance with learning or rings trick we bought. ..we did not catch the man's name who was working the shop but he showed us several live tricks and answered all our questions! We will return.

This show was great. Max performs in an intimate setting and includes every one in the audience in his show. He is funny, witty, intuitive, and a special type of performer. Oh yeah, the magic is DAMN awesome too. Every trick left me with a perplexed feeling or a laughing fit. It is obvious Max loves what he does and he does it incredibly well. Thanks Max. I will be back to see more.

You should see this show! Why? Whether or not you're a local here in Albuquerque or from out of town you will have your mind blown away. Just saw Max perform for the beginning of 2015 and his performance was definitely a highlight of the New Year. Interactive with the audience, funny, puzzling and loads of fun!!! Thanks a bunch for such a wonderful night. My 67 year old mother had a blast too! Not just for kids. :-D Also, don't forget to check out the magic shop.

Please don't miss Max's Magic Theatre if you're in or around Albuquerque. It's an intimate venue (24 seats) so get your tickets early online. There's lots of audience participation and it's a family friendly show so bring the kids. Believe me, they will LOVE it! Just the look on their faces when Max puts one little red ball in their hand and they open it to find half a dozen! So glad we went at Christmas time. My family said it was just the best idea and they loved it! Max is the real deal...a magic man.

I thought this show would be aimed more at the kiddos but went anyway as I enjoy magic and this show had good reviews. Well, the reviews are accurate. There is high quality magic for everyone and excellent comedy as well. I've seen many Vegas acts and this show was more fun than any of them. Lots of audience participation without making you feel uncomfortable. Max is great with kids and he also tied all of the adult brains in knots with unexplainable feats of mind reading, predictions and stuff disappearing only to reappear in impossible places right in front of our eyes. The only thing better than being amazed, is to be amazed and to be laughing your head off. Lots of jokes/quips/one liners that are funny and you don't have to cover your kid's ears. The show costs about the same as a movie or a drive thru dinner but delivers so much more. I will see it again next time I'm anywhere near Albuquerque.Dave L. Phoenix, AZ
