There has to be 100 dealers under 1 roof. Prices tend to be very good ... not yard sale but also not antique store either.
We decided to stop by on the way home from Pa . Not too far out of our way and we always like this type of Antique shopping . Surrounding areas look a bit sketchy so stay on the main drag . Well worth the side trip to make the ride home at least seem shorter . Friendly staff and well lit sunny building . We made a couple of good buys and will stop in again when traveling through the area . Even if we do need to go out of our way . We did not visit any other site's before or after but would have at least tried . I guess we should have read the previous review on here .
Looking for something to do on the weekend, I found the Burlington NJ website. The historic district with over 40 historic sights included in a self-guided tour( or with a guide) along with the Antiques and Art Emporium seemed like a nice day out. The weather was gorgeous. It was a Sunday morning when we piled into the car for the 1hour & 20 min. drive. We arrived a half hour before the Emporium opened, so decided to walk around, find the historical society and check out the walking tour. Aaahhh! We parked the car directly in front of the Emporium, where what appeared to be a couple of homeless men were lounging. We saw some signs for the Historical Society and headed in that direction, on the way, passing what appeared to be a gang. On one side street there were 3 police cars with sirens blazing and several people and police officers in the street. People were gathered on the side walk watching the goings on. Finally found what we were looking for, but it is closed on Sunday. Rounding the corner we headed back toward the Emporium which was just opening. They were very friendly. The building is huge with tons of all sorts of items in different stalls arranged in rows. The prices were reasonable to high depending on the vendor. If you find yourself nearby, you may as well stop in, but otherwise, I can't recommend it. Its too far to go, with nothing else around it, for me.
