The kids always had a blast. Awesome concept. Nice party rooms, and the mini golf was great with great features. Only negative is they have games where you win tickets to redeem for prizes...everything game you win 10 tickets automatically regardless of how you do, and none more than that. And the prizes to redeem..........horrible and cheap.
My family has been here a couple times but I know we went on 4th of July weekend 2014. It was an afternoon visit, the place is fairly new and in great shape. I picked up information about kid parties while we were there. I wish there was more spacing as there is usually people falling off the dividing wood into the playing area of people behind them. This is a general complaint of all the locations. It is expensive but we have gotten Groupons and had tickets for free games. You can't beat the lack of bugs or need of sunblock indoors and you can play year round in NJ. We haven't got involved with the arcade but it is a decent size. Service is good. Clean bathrooms.
When our son came for a visit, we took him here for some great fun and a few scares --- nothing too much even for little ones. If you enjoy miniature golf as well as scary monsters and some really tough holes to get golf balls into, this is the place. Even though our son is in this 30s, we had a great time with laughs as well.
My family and I have visited a few Monster Mini Golf locations, but frequent the Edison, NJ, location most (closest to home). We find this to be a particularly enjoyable spot on rainy days and hot summer days (ahhh air conditioning!). If you enjoy miniature golf, you will definitely enjoy Monster Mini Golf. Inside, one will find a typical mini golf layout, only instead of the safari or pirate themes, Monster Golf is a glowing, ghostly experience. Monster Golf is lighted with black-light lighting (glow-in-the-dark) and set up to look like one is traipsing through a graveyard (complete with giant, glowing zombies, beasts, creepy clowns, to name a few residents). The course is not too challenging and is set up wisely where novel players won't hold up the more advanced players. Approximately half of the building is set up for monster golf, while the reset holds an arcade section, a gift shop and a snack bar / seating area. They host school fundraisers, corporate events and birthday parties year-round so be prepared for a crowd near week's end and over vacation months.Ticket pricing is as follows - $8 for Children ("Little Monsters") and $9 for Adults ("Big Monsters"). Monster Golf always has coupons floating around somewhere, however, so check online before heading over! Group discounts are also available. We recommend having a meal before mini golfing, as the snack bar prices are steep. There is also a prize station where kidlets can cash in their arcade tickets. This is another place where expenses can add up, if a child wants to purchase something outside of their prize winnings. Monster Golf has a small gift shop for purchasing tee shirts, etc., so plan on avoiding this room if you don't want to buy more than a day of golf!FUN TIP - wear colours that will GLOW under a black-light (white or very light colours)PARENT TIP - Monster Mini Golf may frighten younger children (dark interior, monster/clown décor) ...my son was 9 when 1st visiting and was not afraid, but every child is different...Good luck on that hole-in-one into the creepy clown's mouth at the course's end!Happy Travels!
