Beautiful from the moment you step out of your car, walk through the pines and flowers, past the koi fish pond and out back down the stairs to the rose garden and pergola. Greenhouses and trails, lovely place for a day out with kids or couples
This 20th century estate turned County park is a lovely place for a stroll. The landscape is broken into sections like a rock garden, lilies and iris, roses, green house, koi pond, bonsai etc. Exhibits change with the seasons based on what is in bloom. They have an amazing horticultural library open to the public with 4000 volumes on any subject you can think off. The library also has a kids section. Check the Monmouth County parks website for special programming throughout the year. It is across the street from Tatum Park which has hiking trails and a nice kids playground.
Deep cut is a beautiful little park, thoughtfully designed and very peaceful. Beautiful plantings are everywhere. There are many specimen trees, a formal rose garden, paths along the wood, and many other hidden treasures. Do visit and explore!
Beautiful flower, rose, herb and vegetable gardens. Nice place to visit for 1 to 2 hours to sit peacefully or stroll around the property. Lots of specimen trees, a nice koi pond and a library full of horticulture books. Best if you live locally or are in the area.
A great park/garden for so many reasons. I enjoy early morning photo strolls in the park/gardens. If you're looking for a quiet uncrowded park, for a book read or a picnic this is your place.
I went with my family of young children. The gardens weren't so big. We walked around for a while (the kids enjoyed the greenhouse) and then had a picnic lunch. It kept us occupied for about 1 - 1.5 hours.
This park is part of Monmouth County's Park System. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. There's a lot of benches tucked away in the shade under the trees and some in the sunshine. The rose garden is a beautiful sculped garden with so many varieties and the boxwoods outline the sculpting beautifully. This is the place to stroll and take in its' beauty or bring something to read or some music and just take it all in. There were several different gardens to view and a couple of ponds including a koi pond plus a path of different types of trees. Worth the trip if you live fairly local. It's incredibly quiet and a great place to get away for a bit.
Maze of different flowers and everything is nicely laid out. If you want to read a book on a bench or take a stroll with your loved ones, this is the place.
Found this beautiful place by mistake. The gardens are so pretty most of the flowers aren't in bloom yet but whatever is is so pretty. Some of the roses that are in bloom are such beautiful colors. They have a pond with tadpoles and frogs. There's chipmunks running all over the place.Nice little paths to walk on,and the rock garden with the three tier pool and waterfall is so calming. You could sit fir hours. It's so peaceful.Bring your lunch and relax. They have very clean restrooms a library and a sitting area inside.Definitely going back to see what else has bloomed. They also have green houses with all different plants.Well worth the trip.
Nice place to stroll through the gardens. Also, has a coy pond and additional ponds on the trail down to the back of the park. Be sure to look for frogs, tadpoles and fish. A nice place to visit every season.
Visited at beginning of season. Some tulips starting to bloom. Most plants not ready. Exceptional horticultural educational center with a library and classes. Wow. 54 acres total with a lot of roses during season. Lot of big, stately trees. Very nice walking paths.
I loved this place so much I got married here 15 years ago. The gardens are small but with a variety of things to enjoy: the fish pond, the green house with exotic plants and a recently added parterre. It's low key and relaxing. Bring a picnic lunch in the summer.
I really enjoyed my visit and the gorgeous plants and trees. I went for a bonzai show but took time to walk around the property and look at the individual special gardens and the huge trees.
I visit several times a year. Every Spring is a delight to see the new plantings and return during the season to check on the vegetables and flowers growth. While your there, don't forget to find the Gnomes! :)
Visit in every season. The gardens are beautiful and varied. We enjoy the walks as well as the library which has a very nice history of the gardens,
