Most of the bartenders are from Ireland.Corned beef sandwiches are very good.Offer some traditional Irish dishes.Been to this Pub solo and with family (including children).Has live entertainment.Gets a big crowd; bar area can be 3-4 deep, especially holidays and after work.
Very good craft beer selection at reasonable prices. Good value for the food - skirt steak dinner was excellent.
Nice place but very loud on the weekend, they have food they give out for happy hour which is good, food is also very good , have to try the flat pizza which is excellent. Gets very busy on the weekend
It has a very charming, Irish ambiance with good food with good prices. The bar area is a bit noisy for my taste but side rooms are much quieter
If you like the feel of an Irish pub this place is for you. The food is tasty and the beer is cold. Enjoy Laddies!!!!
If you are looking for an active bar-several nights a week the crowd gets big here. Live bands and great food and drinks. A true fun Irish Bar. Also great place for friends and family--days and early evenings excellent friendly atmosphere for all. There is an elevator also for elderly or disabled to easily get in and out of the restaurant. We love Thatchers.
We loved Thatcher McGee's. We sat inside once and outside the second time. The fish and chips was great and we loved the music that was played throughout the downtown section of Denville even though our server thought it was "strange." Different generation.
I used to go to the Fireside which was very divey so I avoided the new placw. Big mistake. Thatcher McGhee's is totally different. Nice and bright inside, higher class crowd and good food. Also a diverse menu. We're definitely going back!
We have been to Thatcher McGhees many times and are never disappointed. Our most recent visit was to celebrate my son and daughter in laws birthdays. We were seated in the front room which is decorated like an 19th century parlor complete with fireplace. The food is plentiful and tasty. The thatcher fries (with three cheeses) is always a welcome start to any meal here. Service is always good and friendly I can recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
My boyfriend and I always sit at the bar. I love their salad with goat cheese and their chili! Awesome selection of beers, and all the bartenders are so attentive and friendly. They are REALLY good at what they do! Had the chicken fingers for the first time last week, because I needed something quick. They were real chicken! Not this frozen junk you get at most places. I will continue to make this one of my frequent stops.
This is a large space with loads of seating. At noontime, it can get crowded and noisy. The food is good but not exceptional. The service can slow down as the lunch crowd arrives. It is a good place to have lunch in a town that has quite a few other eateries.
This Irish pub had a good choice and election. Corned beef was what we ate and it was very good portion and taste. Boiled potatoes and vegetables were also very good.the atmosphere was nice and eating outside was available
Stop for lunch at this Irish pub that was highly rated. Had quite a lot size: herbal selection on the menu. I had corned beef and cabbage which was served with a boil potatoes and other steamed vegetables accompanied with horseradish. The portion of corned beef was large. I would go back.
Average Irish American fare. Nice atmosphere and the service was good. Although we didn't choose it this time around, they offer outdoor seating which is nice. Will eat here again.
We often go out for lunch on Saturday or Sunday afternoon and this has become a spot we choose a lot. The menu has a very wide and varied selection and my husband loves the beer choices.
