I have been looking for a spa since moving to the Red Bank area 4 years ago. I've been to several in the area, but hadn't yet found "the one". Today I did. I redeemed a Groupon for a massage, facial, pedicure, eye contour and hand peel that I purchased in December. I have been to several high-end spas and this holds its own. The robes were plush (I bought one!) and the "quiet room" with low lighting and complementary tea and water set the tone for a lovely day. I had my massage with Olga. I am now in love with Olga. Olga and I will be spending many hours together in the future! She followed my preference sheet exactly and worked on my problem areas. By the end, all of my knots and kinks were worked out, my headache was gone and my sinuses were clear. I had a pedicure and hand peel with Jewel who was quite personable and did an excellent job. Lauren Ann did my facial and it was so relaxing that I nodded off a couple of times. I enjoyed the soothing atmosphere in the quiet room between services. After our services were complete, my friend and I could only smile with half-closed eyes and say "ahhhhh". Truly lovely day. I will be back, as I intend to purchase their Buy 5, Get the 6th Massage Free deal. Olga, dear Olga, I cannot wait until we meet again. :)
if you want a massage, facial, etc that feels like you are the only person in the world, go to The Woodhouse in Red Bank. The smell when you enter tells it all. It just continues from there. I have been going there since right after it opened. I've had many of the treatments there. I would not go for a pedicure - too expensive, but a massage by Lauren is to die for. I see her monthly- she knows my body and doesn't forget my issues. I always feel so good after I leave -- and for a long time after. She is able to correct my issues. Amazing! I know there are many fine people there to use as well… Andrea is also super. The feeling at the Woodhouse is very serene. The robes are fabulous…… the 'relaxing room' b/f you go to 'your room' leaves a lot to be desired. Sorry to have a negative thing to say, b/c I love this place, but I just have to say it.Go to The Woodhouse……. relax and enjoy your time there. It's the best. They have 'series' purchases available which makes your treatments more affordable - go for these.
I have not been able to find a spa atmosphere anywhere in the area until now. The spa is very nice and Lauren and Heather are the best for massages! The prices are very fair and it is an enjoyable experience.
From the small front door you'd be shocked to learn how large this place is, and how beautiful. The entire spa is located on a lower level. Our service was so relaxing (we had a couple's massage) and the front desk and greeters were also very friendly. The spa is immaculate, we felt very "zen" and we would love to go back the next time we are in Red Bank!
I have lived in Red Bank for 7 years now and always passed The Woodhouse Day Spa but never went in until recently. It was literally around the corner from me this whole time- I wish I had walked in earlier! I agree that you would never know what is there, as the entrance is essentially a staircase. But once downstairs I was welcomed warmly and set up in the locker room with a robe and slippers and brought into the relaxation room and offered tea and a dark quiet space. True, having been to the Omni Spa in San Diego, the ambiance of a downstairs space cannot compete, but for being where it is and what it is, I thought they did a fantastic job. As for my masseuse, Olga, she is hands down (no pun intended) the BEST massage I've had in recent years. She is small but mighty and really in tune with that fine line of healing and relaxation. I have only had the massage services there, so can't speak to any of the others, but I'm on my 4th massage and plan to try some new services as well. Also a great gift for friends and family. Easy to walk by...but don't pass this one up! :)
Love the ambience and service. The staff are very professional and friendly. Everyone here aims to please and definitely do whatever it takes to make your experience a good one.
I went to this spa for first time 11/13. My boyfriend bought me a gift certificate and it was a great treat. The spa is warm and every one is friendly. You go into the changing room , ropes slippers lockers Etc. You then walk out into the RELAX room. (There are two rooms one for men and one for ladies.)Were you just relax have water or tea. ( I had to fill out my paper work which was quick) then your MT will enter by calling your name. I had OLGA. Who was amazing. She really worked on my shoulders which is what I needed. She ended up putting bio-freeze and ice on my shoulders bc I needed it. She didn't talk much. Which I liked. She explained to me at the end of the massage what was wrong and what areas may be sore. She offered me tea and I went back into the relax room. I relaxed then went back and changed and paid my bill and left. I will def be returning ASAP. It was a wonderful experience.
Atmosphere is like a massage envy - not spa like at all. The relaxation room is a couch and they offer tea...that's it! Overpriced - the worst massage I have had and service was terrible.
My mom, sister, cousin, aunt and I had a wonderful time at Woodhouse! I had seen The Woodhouse Day Spa when visiting Red Bank with my husband awhile ago. I made note of it for the future and read some of the online reviews. After reading good things, we decided to try it for a girls family spa day. We were definitely not disappointed! The online booking process was super simple & convenient. The spa was able to accommodate all five of us within the same time frame. The staff was friendly and professional, the spa was impeccably clean without feeling sterile or boring, the locker room and relaxation room were both very nice also. Everything was beautifully decorated. We all enjoyed our treatments as well. I had a hot stone massage (with Andrea) and it was one of the best I've ever had. As far as cost, Woodhouse is definitely on the pricey side, but for the atmosphere and quality of the services, I would say it's worth it. I would definitely recommend it. (side note: when asked for the type of visit this trip was i said solo - I was with family, but it was all adults, no children or teens)
A small surprise, don't let the exterior fool you. You can easily miss the entrance on Broad Street but once inside and down the stairs, this spa offers superior service. I had a massage with Olga, who is a small powerhouse, and it was wonderful. Followed by a facial with Daniella. Who was so good that I brought my daughter in the next day to have a treatment with her. It's clean, well done interior its inviting and relaxing. Overall great experience.
I love The Woodhouse. I've been a fan since they opened in Montclair and when I found out they opened one in Red Bank I couldn't be happier. I received a 50 minute swedish massage from Ashely and it was amazing. I have a back injury and she was very attentive with asking how I wanted the massage to go, how much pressure I liked and so forth. By the time the massage was finished I couldn't wait to re-book a next appointment. The girls at the front desk are also fantastic and went out of their way to make sure my cousin and I got appointments for Spa Week as well as booking our next appointments. Woodhouse will always be my go to spa.
All I can say is WOW.... Awesome escape massage highly recommended!!! Lauren was perfect for me I. I love a deep tissue and she delivered! Can't wait to go back again. This appointment was two hours want to book a three hour package,! Happy holidays !!!
I had an excellent experience at The Woodhouse Day Spa in Red Bank. It all started with the ease of booking an appointment. I love that I was able to view their menu of services and availability of appointments (including who they were with) on their website. Additionally, I was able to choose if I wanted to have appointment reminder/confirmations via email, phone or both. So convenient! The entrance of the spa is at street level but you immediately proceed down a large staircase to the reception area. Upon my arrival, I was greeted and shown the areas where I could change, shower and relax and provided with a locker for my belongings, sandals and a wonderfully cozy robe. There were a couple of bathroom stalls as well as one shower area. Next to the sinks was an area for reapplying makeup and/or drying your hair (there was a hair dryer though I wish I had remembered a brush) and some Farm House Fresh hand and body lotions to sample. The shower area had a beautiful stone shower with shampoo, conditioner and body wash and a changing area with towels and a place to hang your robe. After I changed, I waited in the relaxation area where I enjoyed fruited ice water while completing my intake form with medical information and treatment preferences.Promptly at 1pm, Lauren S. arrived to show me back to the treatment room. She was very welcoming and friendly and went over what was involved in the treatment as well as the preferences I indicated on my intake form. For this appointment, I chose the Woodhouse Escape, a nearly two-hour long treatment, which includes a hot stone massage, body scrub, neck and shoulder massage, scalp massage and reflexology. During the treatment, Lauren would check in periodically to make sure the pressure/temperature of the stones/ etc., was ok. The Woodhouse Escape was WONDERFUL and something I definitely look forward to having again in the future. After the treatment, Lauren provided me with more water and showed me back to the relaxation area. While we were these she recommended a follow up treatment (Swedish massage to focus on my problem areas) and a few products that she would leave at the front desk for me. After getting showered and changed I proceeded back to the front desk to check out. The products Lauren recommended were on the counter, and the receptionist told me the prices when I asked, but I didn’t feel overwhelming pressure to buy. That said, I did pick up a bottle of the Agave Nectar Body Oil Lauren recommended since I think it will help overcome winter’s dry skin. I wasn’t able to book my follow up appointment right away (have to check the babysitter’s schedule) but was told there’s a discount for doing so (10% perhaps, I can’t quite remember). Overall I had a very enjoyable afternoon at The Woodhouse Day Spa and would highly recommend both it and Lauren S.
I was so empresses when i opened the door of the new Spa in Red Bank- The Woodhouse Day Spa. I remember saying Oh My! when i saw the winding staircase leading down to the reception desk. It set the tone for me that saturday morning i really needed to be pampered and i was. I had 2 treatments; a facial and a massage and was very pleased with the carefulness by each technician. i floated out of the Spa that morning and will be back many times over...
