Very well done done and worth a visit to savour the atmosphere and see all those names that perished from New jersey on 9/11

Nice area, wasn't crowded on the weekday evening we went. Nice boardwalk, and restaurants within a couple of blocks. Doesn't take long to see the area, but you can enjoy the skyline for much longer if desired. To look at the new trade center from this view, and remember the events of 9-11, it can bring you to tears. Can be very emotional.

You can explore the area within half an hour. You can sit and enjoy the beautiful skyline of the NY city for hours though.

The buildings and the waterfront was amazing! The view to Manhattan was awesome! I will bring my family to visit the new mall.

A great place the family to remember our everyday heroes. America is still the best place in the world to live.

You can get off either Newport and walk east along Washington St, OR, get off at Grove St and walk east down Columbus Drive. The views of Manhattan are excellent and it is very calming to be alongside the Hudson. There is a lot of space and didn't seem to be many other tourists around at all. You can walk along the Hudson in the direction of Hoboken if you like, or you can also walk to the Korean war memorial nearby as well as Liberty State Park. One of many great free things to do when in NYC.

A must see of the new memorial with the names of those lost on 9/11.Very nice setting. Some construction still going on but easy access just the same.

There is no better view of NYC and World Trade Center than right from this spot! The whole area has a walkway along the water. I'd rather look at NYC from the Jersey side.

Walking all along the waterfront on well laid paths is a treat. The cool breeze from the Hudson, numerous ferries plying and people walking, jogging is a never ending sight. The scenic panorama of downtown Manhattan across the Hudson is a lovely sight especially towards sunset time.

There was nothing to dislike. The view was tremendous, the city charming and old-style, people extremely friendly, breakdancing on corners in a spontaneous manner (wonderful). The whole charm of this area was unforgettable.

Lots of place to sit, great views of Nyc downtown. Very close to bars and restaurants in exchange place area. Gorgeous view in the evening with lights reflecting off the world financial center.Don't forget to get yourself an ice cream from the truck that usually stands near the Path station

Travelingman1212

Two rows of granite facing each other creating a walking path. The names of every fallen person is listed on the wall. I visited at night and the walk way is lite. In the background you see lower Manhattan and of course the liberty tower where the twin towers once stood.

Gave a good view of where the twin towers were before 11 September 2001. Peaceful location giving time to reflect on the loss of life on that day.

Standing at this memorial, looking across the river, made everything seem so real. Especially in the evening when the two lights were shining up into the sky.

Nice to see and touch one of the beams from the WTC. Sad for sure but good place for pictures of NYC in the background as well.
