Obviously a must visit attraction. I love the atmosphere and with the trams running nonstop, easy access.
If you have never been to the New Jersey shore, you may have a major misconception from various shows. The New Jersey coastline stretches for miles with some of the best beaches on the eastern seaboard. Towns that include Sea Bright, Long Branch, Asbury Park, Spring lake, Seaside heights, Long Beach, Beach Haven, Atlantic City, Ocean City, Sea Isle City, Wildwood and Cape May just to name a few. If you are interested in quieter vacation locations you may consider towns such as Spring Lake or Cape May which are geared more towards the laid back style. But don’t underestimate these locales as there is plenty to see and do such as zoos, lighthouses, wildlife refuges, and historical museums. There is also an abundance of great places to eat in these towns. If you are looking for towns geared more towards young children you may want to consider Ocean City, Sea Isle City or Wildwood. These towns have miles of beaches lined with boardwalks, amusements, rides and attractions. There is so much to do here that the kids will not be bored for a minute. And then there is always Atlantic City with all the casinos but also miles of boardwalk and beachfront. All these towns have hotels, motels, B&Bs but you may want to consider contacting a local realtor to investigate a weekly house rental, many of which are walking distance to the beach. The bottom line is the New Jersey shore is chock full of activities ranging from fishing, boating, boardwalks, beaches, parasailing, light houses, museums to wildlife refuges. The list is endless. Happy Vacation!
One of the best amusement parks around the world!!! Best service and nice oceanfront waterpark. They have everything you need to enjoy the park!
Our family always has a great time and the Wildwoods are our second home. If we were in Ocean City I would say the same thing. My only complaint is that the price of admission is outrageous. It is what it is but other boardwalks still find a way to get by more reasonably. You have more than Disney but the atmosphere is not comparable to Disney, nor are the rides. I love nostalgic rides and Wildwood reminds me of being a kid and coming to the beach. That time and those rides are long gone. As I always say, it's not about bigger and better all the time, it's about buy in and those who have been loyal for years. The Golden Nugget and Castle Dracula were examples of "classics". We don't live in the past, we just want what made Wildwood unique and great. My kids would love the Keystone Kops. There is so many unique things that as a kid drew me in. Not like the Pirates of the Wildwoods. Something longer that 1 minute that I have to spend 5 tix on. Be nostalgic and don't overthink it. It doesn't have to be about teens or adults. Thrill rides are one and done. Classics are such for a reason, why families long to go to the museum and look back. Nobody will do that for "IT", and for good reason. I love everything about the boardwalk minus some offensive crowds it draws, but the Morey's could do better.
Morey brothers own two great amusement piers on the wildwood boardwalk, complete with rides for the kids and two waterpark areas. Can be expensive like all major amusement parks, but if you plan on spending the entire day it is well worth the price of admission.
The prices for the rides could be cheaper but overall it's not too bad. Didn't do the waterparks while staying in WIldwood. Next year may do a waterpark.
Morey's Piers is a lot of fun. There's lots of ride, games, and good food. My family and I have gone to the Raging Waters Waterpark on Morey's Piers twice and had a blast both times. Theu have awesome waterlsides, heated pools, a splash park, and great food.Only thing is that Morey's Piers is a little on the expensive side. The water park is pretty expensive. But it is really a great time!
I used to love Moreys Piers but after last summer I'm not sure I'll be spending time there this summer. They DRASTICALLY UPPED their prices. They took away the weekly wrist band deals, that were very accommodating to my family. They used to have family friendly rides where if your child was to small to ride alone the parent could ride with them at no additional cost... That changed... Yes you have to purchases extra tickets to ride a small and uncomfortable school bus with little children amongst the other rides available. ubsurd if you ask me. The staff was even awful last year, unfriendly and miserable. IF my children didn't look forward to it and I had no heart I would have skipped going after the first night on their piers.. I'm still pissed 5 months later that I gave them a large portion of my hard earned money to get the poor service they provide. They really need to back to what is important (providing children with memories) and not so much worry about lining their pockets.
Probably the best thing to do in Wildwood. My personal favorite from the park is the Ghost ship. I have tried all kinds of Haunted Houses, Ghost ships and Scary places but the Ghost ship in Moreys Piers is amazing.
There are 3 piers of amusement rides that were a lot of fun. My 8 yr old was able to get on most of the rides and had a blast. We also did raging waters one day. Nothing out of this world about his water park. The cost was a little on the expensive side. Not a lot of Shade in the park. We rented a cabana which was priced way to high but I did include a waiter who brought was drinks and food. Overall Morey's is a good time but make sure to bring lots of money!!
They have attraction rides for everyone and the water parks are amazing. The prices aren't too bad either. You should try it at least once.
Went to Wildwood for the first time this summer. We had an incredible time on the boardwalk and the waterparks
The day trip to Wildwood was very fun. i was traveling with teenagers who could just do their own thing and I not be worried.
All the ride piers were a lot of fun. They have some really cool rides for everyone.Only bad thing was they can get a little expensive.
On our 5 day vacation, we stopped in and out of the Amusement area. The rides are expensive, but for my wife and I, we were able to buy tickets and use them through our vacation so we didn't spend all our time in one place. The three piers have different type of rides. I have to say, I am a sucker for a wooden roller coaster so I made sure to go on that ride. The pier also has quite a few water parks, each with dining and drinks as one has a swim up bar. There are family rides and adult rides for all. The games are very expensive so be sure to keep a watch on your wallet. Personally, I love just walking around the rides and games, it is a lot of fun!
