The ice cream and pick of flavors is outstanding. This little creamery is slowly getting bigger in the immediate area. The little "store" is an honor system. Try it out and you'll return again. Buy local!
This is such a great place to drive, enjoy the scenery and enjoy the best of the best of ice cream... A definite adventure... Try it , you'll love it!
Pleasant experience. Beautiful ride. Awesome ice cream. Well worth the venture to Sandwich. When you find it mark it on your GPS because you'll be back again. I promise.
We were visiting our daughter and son in law in the Laconia NhH region and they raved about this ice cream shop they HAD to take us to. It is a bit of ride out on a dirt road but the small towns are beautiful and it is SO WORTH the ride. Rich creamy ice cream, delicious frozen yogart and excellent cheese. You serve yourself, you can get a single serve 1/2 pint and eat it there or bring home pints and quarts..they even let you borrow a cooler! Prices are very reasonable and you pay on the honor system..cash or checks, no credit or debit cards. If you are in the area, don't miss this place! We'll be back..they have ginger ice cream!
My girlfriend in the area when we saw a small sign indicating the creamery up the road. It took us just under an hour to actually locate the creamery (the signage was not very good and the mileage was not very accurate). That said, once we found it, we loved it! My daughter was crazy for the baby animals and we were crazy for the ice cream (it was the best summer fruit ice cream have ever had. We tried the blueberry and peach). If you choose to seek it out, be sure to bring cash, preferably small bills as their payment is on the honor system. I would've hated to have gone there on a lark only to find I had no money to buy ice cream. The only real downside was that there seem to be nobody there working. My friend had wanted to buy some wool that they advertised.
If you can find it, this is a nice little place to purchase some ice cream. Don't expect too much, it's basically just a barn with some freezers. It's rarely staffed, so you just take the ice cream and leave money in a box. But there are tables to sit and eat, and you can see the cows that made the milk! Sometimes there are calves in a little pen that you can pet as well.
Loved, loved, loved the Sandwich Creamery. Yes, it isn't an operating creamery that you can see, but the ice cream is wonderful (and I'm not the biggest ice cream fan). The flavors are very unique - from the traditional chocolate to a ginger ice cream and many in between. It's very quaint and a lovely ride out there. I love there is a place that will still work on the honor system too.
A nice pleasant drive through beautiful countryside, but their store is very small (only about 3 people can fit inside). I didn't like the ice cream, had a freezer burned taste to it. Also purchased the garlic cream cheese for $5, had to end up throwing it away because it just didn't taste good either. Kids enjoyed visiting the baby animals and that was clearly the highlight of the experience.
We were dupded! Thought we were going to the creamery... Nope it's a freezer case in a barn. There are some cute animals outside, but you can see that at any petting zoo. The ice cream was horrible! We were completely disappointed. We had see this great segment on tv all about the creamery, how you could scoop your own, etc... What a total shame and complete disappointment!
Great little country stop with homemade Icecream. A wonderful treat for a hot summer day or night. New England is all about it's Ice Cream so stop in and see what they get excited about.
This place is very cool! It is like a farmstand only they sell their ice cream and cheeses. The ice cream is homemade and delicious. I bought their sharp cheddar cheese and that was great too! It would be nice to take kids there because they have baby farm animals and a place to sit and eat the ice cream. After going their visit Cow Cave for a great easy hike right down the road from the creamery! There is a nice waterfall and a great old wives tale about the cave to tell kids as you walk along Cow Cave.
Muito bom , apesar de achar tudo muito gorduroso , mas gostei demais !!! Nunca esqueça da famosa gorjeta
