Great area to watch boats on the big lake, love the gazebo. Great place to stop and enjoy an ice cream
This multi-level park is adjacent to the parking lot at Wolfeboro Town Docks. It overlooks Wolfeboro Bay. It has several small colorful flower gardens. Each year a different set of outdoor sculptures is placed around the gardens. There are benches for sitting and relaxing with an ice cream or taking a break from shopping the downtown area. There are concerts at the small bandstand on Wednesday and Saturday nights in the summer. On my most-recent visit, the flower gardens were on the way out, but the day was warm enough to sit, relax, and enjoy the fresh air and scenery. If you found this review helpful, kindly click YES below.
Stop in at the Downtown Grille Cafe and grab a sandwich to enjoy in the park, great spot. Right in the center of town overlooking the lake and town docks.
Lovely landscaping, benches for viewing the lovely harbor, an old-time bandstand for concerts. We have spent many happy, relaxing hours here.
sweet little new england waterfront park at the marina in the valley village. park setting includes traditional amateur band in the bandstand performing on an occasional wed /sat eve at 7 . grab an ice cream or ice tea at Baileys and walk over (with lawn chair) to enjoy a peaceful evening alongside the lake
This is where free concerts happen Wednesday and Saturday nights. Right on Lake Winnipesaukee in the middle of Wolfeboro
Cate Park is a great place to just relax in the shade for a short rest. It's really pretty as its basically on the dock. Nice break from shopping or cruising around Lake Winnipesaukee.
The picture does not look like Cate Park, but the rail trail that is also a neat place to go in Wolfeboro. Cate Park is on the Bay in Wolfeboro where everyone docks their boats. On Saturday nights, in the summer, they offer free concerts that are excellent. Bring a chair and enjoy. Don't forget to get ice cream from Bailey's Bubble too.
Wolfeboro is a lovely little town on the shores of a large and beautiful lake. Cate Park has a bandstand (that has actual bands twice a week, that perform all summer long!) situated just off Main Street with easy access from several areas and is suitable for those with disabilities. The park is very dog friendly (has a poop bag station) and all who enjoy traveling with their pets should take note and not abuse such a lovely spot. Music on Wednesdays is by the local town band, please be generous when they pass the hat; on Saturdays a more well known band plays (again, please be generous), there is room for a few dancing couples on the back lawn or the sidewalk next to the lake. Throughout the summer, several art events are held here with really high quality, well made goods including art, pottery, glass, jewelry, marquetry furniture, sculpture and more. Just outside the park, one can obtain freshly squeezed lemonade and snacks, or wonderful locally made ice cream cones. This park is a little treasure: beautifully maintained, several benches for those without portable seating, near public rest rooms, and even on the hottest summer days there is always a sweet breeze off the "Big Lake", Winnepesaukee.
This park is very pretty during the day when the sun is sparkling on the lake, but come on a Saturday evening when there is a concert going on in the bandstand. The seating is cantilevered so everyone has a great view, and you may be able to catch a colorful sunset off the lake as well!
