We enjoyed our day here so much in 2013 that we came back in 2014 for a few days. We rented a place to stay 2 blocks away from the beach and that was a great idea. WE didn't have to bother changing at the beach but just walked back to shower up and change when needed. WE saved on parking as well this way.During the Sunday night there were shows at the stage which kept us all entertained. Monday night at the beach was Movie night where they put up a large screen and we sat back with the family to watch a movie. Remember to bring blankets and something warm as it does start to get chilly after 8 pm. We stopped in to get some Salt water taffy and were good to go with our snacks and drinks. The arcade on the boardwalk was great. The prices are so cheap compared to other places too. You can win tickets and the vendor was great as our 3 kids were all short tickets but they let them have what they wanted anyhow. We had ice cream on the boardwalk and a great family time.My son boogie boarded for the first time and had a blast. You can buy boards for cheap across the road. Check a few stores as some stores are a bit more costly, by that I mean extra $5 but we picked up a board for $11 for 2 days of fun. There is also a playground by the beach for the kids. As well the Blue Ocean Society is there and there is a neat little place to go and touch some things from the sea and learn about them. There is a $1 cost per person I think. The water is a bit cold but you get used to it quickly if you stay in. The sand does get really hot though.Would do it again this summer if we were not going somewhere else. The washrooms were clean which was a great bonus.

One of the largest , widest beaches in all of New England beaches, at low tide plenty of room for every one. Family, singles all kinds of people, whiffle ball, throwing frisbee or just playing catch this beach has it all, young jocks Vollyball at mid beach near newly renovated bath houses(3) family or day trippers southern end is for you, young people, and people watching the north end. Also plenty of Honkey Tonk beach food (pizza, fried dough, candy apples). And plenty of good restreants with lots of lobster.

This place is a joke - it is not intended for families or couples, unless all you want to do is sit around and gamble. Just walking by the building we were offered drugs by someone that was standing right in front of the building. I would avoid this place.

As one of the few beaches in New Hampshire, Hampton Beach was crowded. No parking. No tranquility. We weren't interested. But, I'm sure it was beautiful.

If you have an RV and can get a vaunted spot, this is definitely one of the most unique places to camp. Right on the ocean with nice salty breezes, and a short walk to the best beach around. Also a short walk to the strip, great place to stay.

I live across the marsh from Hampton Beach and I never go here. The beach is filled with police which is a good thing due to the people that come to the beach here. I would advise families with youngsters to go elsewhere. Late Teens and up should be fine if you like crowds. Also check your meter multiple times a day as the tickets for an expired meter is $25 a ticket. After 15 days the ticket becomes $50, 30- $75, and 45- $100. Furthermore parking is $2 an hour and is metered up until 12pm! While the recent upgrades to the beach are nice, the people who come to the beach here have remained the same. As a NH resident all my life, Hampton Beach, despite it being my home, is not a place I would recommend to even my enemies.... Unless of course they got caught by the meter maids!! :)

It is a great family beach during the day. The surf can be rough and the water cold though, but it is New Hampshire after all. The board walk is much better than it was 20 years ago. The parking is limited in the spots and it takes a while to drive down the main road with people looking for parking. At night it is crowded a large variety of people from families, to locals, to college kids, to kids in high school to elderly couples and everything in between are o the boardwalk. It is generally safe with a large police presence but people will still act like fools and their is the occasional overly drunk person. Sometimes they offer free entertainment in the summer that is enjoyable

We love the beach and the boardwalk. We have been enjoying this beach for many, many years, and the shops are always fun to check out. I do not like that there are so many inconsiderate smokers, and cigarette butts everywhere, and I really dislike the vulgarity of the souvenir items in the little shops. When travelling with children, this is NOT what we want them to remember about their summer vacation. Vendors are pleasant, and prices are good. Best food on the boardwalk is SALS Pizza (Ocean Blvd), SABOS Subs (C Street), and BLINKS (Ocean Blvd).

Excellent place to worship sun & sea. Clean bright sand, impressive clean facilities, and plenty to do.

You really can't beat Hampton Beach for a great beach to spend a day or weekend. It is very clean, bright, safe, and exciting. On the beach and sidewalks there is no trash. Some of the restaurants has overflowing outside barrels, but nothing too bad. All the common areas such as bathrooms, concert area, signage for the streets all look newly painted and bright. The public bathrooms were extremely clean and accessible. It dod look like the women bathrooms need more capacity.People are having fun, making fun noise, and exhibiting alot of energy. Anyone getting unruly is quickly calmed or taken aside. There are people of all stripes and from many countries; I detected Chinese, Japanese, Norwegian, German, Australian and folks from Africa and South America. There are many restaurants serving all types of foods at different price points.I didn't do any of the gambling so can't comment. This is not the Hampton I remember in my youth. It seems much more upscale, clean, and safe.

Lots to do. Lots of restaurants and shops that look over the beach. Trucked in sand. Very clean. Lots of family things to do. Movies on the beach. Great for families with kids of all ages. Watch your little ones as traffic is busy and there's a lot of ignorant drivers on motorcycles and tricked out cars.
