A lot of care and thought was put into the design and we are thrilled that you appreciated it. Course conditions are always at the forefront of our attention and we pride ourselves in being able to present consistent course conditions throughout our entire season. Staff is very attentive. Course if difficult so don't go if you're a beginner. Very lush and well kept course. Bring bug spray but that's true everywhere in Minnesota.

18 holes of pure Fun. we stay at the lodge and play the classics for 2 rounds. from the first hole par 5 to the 18th it's all good. i did leave a couple of balls in the woods for the next time i'm up there with my group. if you have not played this golf course, i need too !! make the putt !!

This is a challenging course, and the scenery is spectacular. Great clubhouse with truly special food to top off a day in the sun.

Madden's Classic represents the finest 18 of the Madden Resort's 63 holes, and one of the finest I have played in 5 states and 2 provinces. Visually it is spectacular, with all the autumnal beauty the north woods can muster artfully enhanced by the designers. The fairways are like the greens I have played most places, so soft and smooth that I cringed every time I took a divot. The course is tough but eminently playable, the bunkers groomed and the greens pool table quick.Take your best game and your camera; you will need both. Even if you don't score well you will leave feeling happy and satisfied.

We have had lunch here twice and are going back for dinner tonight. Set on the edge of a world class golf course with lovely gardens/landscaping all round. Attentive service a very good food.

Absolutely fabulous food. We loved everything from the Sea Bass to the filet mignon and hamburgers. Beautiful presentation, so delicious and staff is very professional and friendly. View from the golf course is stunning! Prices are good for the high quality. We ate at the Classic several times during our visit. Our teenagers enjoyed it as well.

OK, I'll get this out there first, the Classic at Madden's is spendy, way outside my normal budget. But I've had the opportunity to play it a couple of times as someone's guest. It is a top notch course and one that you should play at least once if you are in the Brainerd Lakes area. Near perfect course conditions, great service. It is a challenge and it is also a gorgeous course... The club house is nice, food at the grill is good. Yeah, I'd play it again.
