I will never be back, went to many casino's in Mn, this was the most expensive. It was very dirty, blood on the box spring, didn't even have the brains to turn it to the wall so it couldn't be seen. Carpets were all so dirty in room and in casino. Sink was plugged. Casino itself was horrible, very dirty, didn't clean ashtrays out just emptied them, sometime throughout the day. On a scale of one to ten it was a -9.The restaurant was not bad, fry bread was great.

We spent one night at the Casino & hotel. It was a typical casino & hotel. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant had good food. The fry bread is really good. The casino itself was a typical casino. The only problem was the smell of smoke. We played bingo and there wasn't a separate room for smokers. People were smoking at every table. If you don't like smoke, don't go to this casino. We asked for a room that didn't smell of smoke and they put us in the wing that has no smoking.

There isn't a part of this casino, hotel and restaurant that is clean. Casino bathrooms are dirty as well as the casino itself, food is terrible, hotel rooms are dirty. I won't go back.

Stayed at the hotel while in the area on business (not my choice). Room decor by Walmart. Non-smoking room. Really? I'm lucky the smell didn't trigger a migraine. My clothes reaked of smoke the next day. I'm writing this sitting outside because I can't the smell anymore. Seriously, I used to play smokey bars in bands and this is what my clothes would smell like when I got home.

When you stop at the Palace, before you check out the gaming. I had a chili soup that was great by itself, but came with a fry bread that was second to none. Served with a blueberry compote that was sweet and fruity.

Small, smoky, can I say more?! Newly remodeled, but you walk out after a few minutes smelling of cigarettes. staff not to eager to help.

When the Palace Hotel first opened, it was so pretty! It has really gone down hill. Very shabby, like no one takes care of it. Needs lots of TLC, but no one knows how! The only reason we stay here is because Mom-in-law is gambling addict and pays for the room. At least I've never seen bugs, yet. There were 3 cop cars out front when we checked in. Cops drug a pretty Native gal out in cuffs, real drunk and crying. I do like they have a pool here, but that also means kids running up and down the hall all night. Yuck. Who lets their small (elementary) children run around like that unsupervised, especially @ 1 am? (I guess parents that don't really care if someone steals their child?) And it's a school night! Guess a lot of kiddos are calling-in "sick" to school tomorrow. Shame on you rotten parents. Not sure there is any better place to stay around here for under $60, though. You definitely get what you pay for. Anyone around Cass Lake have a bedroom they could rent us when we come up north?

Bad casino, bad restaurant, terrible hotel.I travel quite often for business, staying in many different hotels. This is the only hotel I have stayed in where I have refused to return, even risking punishment from work for doing so.Things I liked:leaving this dump.Things I didn't like:The hotel - The rooms were old, dirty, and smelled of stale chlorinated water, thanks to the poorly ventilated pool down the hall. I need to do some work every evening with my laptop on the internet. It didn't bother me much that there was no internet in the rooms (to be expected really); what bugged me was the telephone was hard-wired into the wall so I couldn't even use dial up internet. The casino - A more sad, run-down collection of slot machines would be difficult to find. When I stayed there, there was no ceiling in the casino, resulting in poor lighting and a rat's nest of wires coming down from above. It didn't look like any sort of remodeling was in progress. The restaurant - The food was on the bland side of average. The service was incredible--incredibly bad. Six of us came in to the restaurant around lunchtime: it took over 20 minutes to have our orders taken, and well over an hour to get our food, even though there was only ONE OTHER TABLE SEATED! Overall, I would rather sleep in my car in Northern Minnesota in the dead of winter than stay at this hole again.
