saint john's university

My husband took us on a family visit to his alma mater. I have been on very few prettier campuses. We were able to walk through the library and church and the student union. The grounds were lovely and the architecture unique. The campus is indeed in the middle of nowhere, but if you are driving through St. Cloud or St. Joe and want a place to stretch your legs, this would be a great stopover. Parking was easy too. Many college campuses are not friendly to visitors, but this one was very easy to access.

Acoustics were great at the Fine Arts Center at St. John's University, though the crowd was quite sedate. Everyone enjoyed a great show in this fine little theater

Visited the Library at St. John's to see their exhibit of the St. John's Illustrated Bible. It is being written exactly as it was done 500 years ago. Video showed the process involved, Several pieces were on display, as well as the instruments used to produce the work. Chairs available to sit and read more literature about the project. Truly inspirational.
