i've been to many parks in the twin cities and none are better than this place. they have an extensive trail system where you can hike, bike cross country ski, snow shoe, horse back ride or canoe and portage. it also has one of the best swimming beaches in the metro area. there are several lakes spread thru out the park. i've never fished there but i do see a lot of people fishing there summer or winter. the visitors center is excellent. its hard to believe there is such nice wildlife area in the twin cities area

The trails around the lake off Pilot Knob have reasonable distance choices for casual walks and hikes. Won't satisfy the serious hiker, but slightly hilly enough on some trails to give you a good afternoon walk with the kids, or a brisk lunch time workout walk.If you want to fish, better bring your license and play by the rules: the lake is occasionally visited by our friends from the DNR who I've seen politely and firmly enforcing the license and limits rules. I've been impressed by their professionalism and disgusted by some of the blatant excesses (violations) happening around me. Now, if they could only start going after those Minnesota tail-gaters on the highway.

My five-year-old loved her Party Animal themed birthday. It included face-painting, drawing, games and learning about animals then they played a hide-n-seek game in the park. The assigned naturalist was awesome wtih the girls. Great space for cake and presents and worth every penny!

I love Lebanon Hills Regional Park - terrific swimming beach, hiking trails, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, sledding, fishing, camping and more. So much to do and much is free or cheap rental. They always offer classes and the price is right.

What a great place for a nice walk, swimming or cross country skiing Many different entry points, all a little different

I love it as it's not too crowded and has a nice huge sandy beach with ample parking. It's our favorite secret escape (well, not so secret anymore ; )

Love the hiking and cross country ski/hiking/snowshoe trails. In the winter they host special events such as candlelit ski/skate/sled events on New Years Eve and again in February at Schultz Lake and provide food trucks. In fall, we love hiking the trails and enjoying nature and the colors. We also enjoy taking our grandchildren to the park and park playground.

Whether you're in the Twin Cities as a resident or a visitor and looking to get in a great hike, snowshoe or cross country ski, this is a great destination. Lots of well maintained trails, waypoint signs to help navigate and a visitor center at Schultz Lake, this park could almost make you forget you're near a major city.

We just bought snowshoes and it reminded me of how much we have enjoyed two Luminary walks on Lebanon Hills' exceptional trails. Don't miss their "Trails by Candlelight" on New Year's Eve and Valentine's Day -- so much fun for families or visitors! We brought a gentleman from India and he was amazed by the magic of snow fallling and the candlelit trails. A great family activity!!

My family & I went on a wonderful nature hike in Lebanon Hills, to enjoy the colors before winter descends upon us. Very well designed trails, some beautiful scenery and a nice area to relax in at the head of the trail. I did not know that they rented kayaks and other sports equipment so we will definitely be coming back both in winter and spring to take full advantage of this park

We spent 4 nights here, and really enjoyed the park. There is a good mix of open RV sites and others that are hidden in the trees, more set for tent camping. Close to the Twin Cities, and good shops and restaurants near by. The site pads are small in width, but have a lot go grass between sites. Laundry is nice, staff is friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if ever in the area.

Very clean campground located in an easy commute to the Mall of America and other area attractions. Relatively quiet depending on how far your are parked from Johnny Cake Ridge Road. Most of the spots are not shaded restrooms are exceptional

We go to the lake here to paddle board and just hang out on the beach. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere even though you are smack dab in the middle of suburbia. Great hiking trails also.

This is our 4th year camping here and we will keep coming back. Staff is always friendly, clean showers. Beautiful beach nearby. Best kept secret in the middle of the busy city!

This is the best little getaway in the metro area. This a great place to drop a kayak or trail run. LOVE IT HERE!
