An awesome way to spend an afternoon. The boat is smooth (no seasickness or sea-legs) and Captain Larry narrates to the sites and history of the area. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There are refreshments available for a charge. There is no better way to spend an hour and a half on a sunny afternoon than floating along Lake Pepin!! The cost was only $15 - a bargain for all the fun!
Had an excellent time. The Captain and moderator was very good. I would definitely recommend it to others if possible.
Just went on a three hour boat ride with a private group on the Pearl of the Lake. We all had a great time, and the food and staff service was excellent. saw views of both the Minnesota and Wisconsin sides during this relaxing sunset boat trip. Would definitely do it again.
The boat tour is about 1.5 hours. Cocktails, pop, and water are served for a fee. Staff aboard was friendly.
Along Hwy 61 from RedWing, MN thru Wabasha/Kellogg is some of the most beautiful views in the state of MN. Lake City is in between and offers spectacular views of the Lake as well as our border neighbor WI. If you are looking to get out on the lake for awhile, take a narrated 90 minute Paddlboat cruise aboard the Pearl of the Lake. This cruise offers something for the entire family. My daughter and I went this week. The crew was extremely helpful getting my daughter in her wheelchair down and up the gangway. She needed to sit on the lower level which has air conditioning. Upper level was not accessible for her as you can only access it by stairs. However once everyone was boarded and we were underway, she was able to go outside on the lower level and sit with her chair . There is room in the front. Once aboard there are drinks and snacks that can be purchased. The boat does have 2 bathrooms aboard. The narration tells stories of days gone by, Indian legends, as well as interesting facts of life on the lake today. You may even catch a glimpse of Pepie the Lake Pepin Monster :). Our version of Nessie. Tickets are reasonably priced. We paid $15 adult and $8 child. Makes for a fun afternoon!
