preacher's grove

It was a nice, quick stop on the way to our campground- If you really want to get the most of it you should take plenty of time to do the little hike from here to peacepipe vista (and bring lots of bug spray for after april!!!)

One of the most beautiful and serene areas of the park was named Preacher's Grove after a group of preacher's camped here in the 1920s. Look for signs along the Main Park Drive - not too far from Douglas Lodge area. Take the path (short walk) down towards the lake through the beautiful red pines. Parking is available.

I was here to attend a wedding. It is a beautiful place for a wedding. There is a parking lot right across the road. It might not be good for a very large wedding, but for one of less than 100 guests.

If you want to see old growth trees, this is the perfect spot. We ate lunch here and really enjoyed it. Noticed there is also a great bike path that goes right through this area.

Preacher's Grove is a good spot to bring a book and sit for a spell.

Always a good stopping place to admire MN's first state park and the land of sparkling waters

Another place to enjoy the beauty of nature and to sit and relax.Trees are amazing. Ground is soft from fallen needles.
