A Cascade River hike is a "must do" when visiting the North Shore. Beautiful scenery throughout the entire hike, whether you're next to the river or in the woods. The sounds of the water falling and babbling is soothing to the soul!
Park at the River on Highway 61 and take the short hike up to the bridge for great views of the falls.
This is actually the CASCADE River - someone misspelled the heading. The trail winds all along the river for several miles of beautiful scenery. There are several places where you can sit on boulders and dangle your feet over the water, and there are other places where you can put your toes in the (very cold) water. I love this river and this trail! You can spend all day here and still not see it all.
Beautiful falls and views, varying terrain, great back to nature getaway! We've taken groups of friends several times. Advice: take your bug dope!
Miles of trails and the multiple waterfalls were just amazing. Bugs can be and issue but hey its Minnesota.
We were really surprised how lovely and interesting the area is. The river was wild and amazing with numerous falls. The park had great wooden stairs and levels with viewing bridges as you walk further into the trails to see more of the river and many falls. Such a fun place to view nature. Lots of people were actually in the lower river taking a dip. The upper river is very wild and much to dangerous to even think of going in. Really nice place to visit.
So beautiful and deffinatly worth stopping to see!
such awesome views of the different Falls! very long trails, but fun!
Very well kept up. We love to stop and walk around. It is especially pretty after a rain--the falls are really rushing then.
My husband and I hiked the Superior Trail beside the Cascade River and it was spectacular. Parts of the trail are easy, but other parts are quite challenging for your average hiker. The trail runs beside the river and often there are views of beautiful waterfalls. It was very quiet and we as we climbed we saw only one or two other people once we got away from the first bridge area.
Замечательная природа как в Сибири. Необходимо быть осторожным, чтобы не упасть в водопад! Видно канадскую границу.
