Great trails to walk or cross country ski, Plenty of wild life if you are quiet while walking or skiing. Kids can have a great time on the equipment. Firewood located in bldg, by the parking area for fires. Great place all year round

Great park, really nice trails. We ran a half-marathon out there, there are trails that suit all ability levels. Great for families with pets too.

Great hiking in spring and fall when the trees are colorful.In the winter one can cross country ski there also. Pic nic shelters are available for gatherings.

This is a great park with trails for all sorts. There are also an abundance of picnic areas and wood-fire cooking spots. This park is well kept and always a good time!

This trail is 7-8 miles long (shocking I know with a name like 7 mile). The trail is always very well visible (no guessing). It is challenging at spots. You will get a workout. However, if you want a easy hike/run you can find some mild trails. the scenery is beautiful! You will see lots of wildlife. There is plenty of parking and picnic areas with recreational areas as well.

Minimal facilities and picnic area.Nice walking trails -- nothing heroic; you might manage five miles with all the loops.It's on a bluff down to the river, so many of the trails are hilly and woodsy.We used to take the kids there; we still go ourselves.

We like to visit this park at least once a year. Park is split by a busy HWY 169, but a underpass allows access to both part no mater which side you park in. West side has picnic areas and play areas and has the creek with several paths through the wooded ravines. Some path sections are challenging. Open to hikers, biking and horses. The East side goes down to the Minnesota river with a boat landing and paths with the same use and areas as the West side. The creek flows down to the rive on the East side. Paths are both paved or improved dirt. Both sides are peaceful despite the busy byway.

I've visited this park many times with my family and with students on school trips. The park is long with lots of trails for walking or biking, and there are many separate areas for families or groups, accommodating many groups at the same time. Very clean, with picnic, river, and campfire amenities and playgrounds. Very beautiful during the fall when the trees change color. Bring your camera.

7 Mile Creek Park is a beautiful park located almost midway between Mankato and St. Peter. It's a good location for a little exercise, a family outing, or a even a date. The trails are well maintained and have a variety of paths you can take on your hike, however they are gravel so not recommend for strollers or road bikes. For more casual outings there are picnic tables, grills, shelters, and volleyball courts open to visitors. Free trail maps are also available at the park. Horseback riding is a common occurrence there and is one of the few places you can go in the Mankato area. I would highly recommend this park to anyone.

I come here a couple of times a week in the summer and early fall to drop off the friendly squirrels that bother me around my home

My wife frequents 7 Mile with friends for the horse trails. don't ride anymore often than have to but recently accompanied her for a very pleasant afternoon on horseback. After a nice ride down the maze of trails to the Minnesota River, we croosed via tnnel US 169 and traversed the part of the trails up and down the little valleys leading down to the Minnesota.A series of very nice picnic areas and playgrounds are present along Seven Mile Creek.

I have been here a few times but never really explored the trails. Went today and seen there was a "scenic overlook" trail off the trail we were on, took a hike uphill to see it-ugh, haha. The trails we were on today were good and kind of felt like we were at at State Park hiking thru the woods. Wishing we had a map of the place to see where we were going and what trails went where but after we got back to the car we seen a brochure on the shelter we were parked by w/a map of the park. Will be going back for sure to explore more of the trails, I think we got the hardest one done today, unintentionally. They have firepits there if you want to have a fire and have wood for a $2 donation

I have lived in the area for several years; however this is the first the trails have not all been flooded. They are beautiful . My lab and I have been there frequently this spring. Trail 1 and 2 are easy going. Trail 3 isn't too difficult but does have quite an incline. Trail 8 and 9 are difficult. The declines on certain points on 8 made them nearly impassible. 9 is very steep and levels off to a high grass area. I attempted trail 4 and 5 but the grass was too tall. There are also some unmarked foot trails that are very scenic. We are exploring trail 11 tomorrow.

Stay away. There's nothing here. Move along. (Just kidding.) I'm afraid it might become too popular and there goes the special attraction of such a beautiful and quiet area. There are many trails (some unmarked) that you can make easy or hard, depending how which ones you traverse. Many creeks, ravines, chickadees, and wildflowers. It has two shelters and playgrounds. Trail #3 starts at the beginning of the park by the gate and is one of the prettiest because it ridge hops a great deal of the way. #10 leads to a farm pasture and it has a steep ascent to get there. #9 if taken in its entirety gets you into a steep ravine and a long climb up. In between there's a scenic overlook along the cornfields. Heckuva ride. During the winter, it's perfect for snowshoeing. The park is generally kept up for horse trailing but the offroad bikers now have found its charm. It's only a matter of time but enjoy it while you can.

I have lived in the area for quite some time and had never even heard of Seven Mile Creek Park. I went there with a friend one day and was amazed and how spread out it was, and how much was hidden back in the woods off Highway 169. I've only been there once, and we ended up hiking for a good 3 hours because we didn't know which paths to take. I would be sure to go with someone familiar with the trails, I'm not sure if they have maps available. Otherwise you could be in for much more than you bargained for.
