Grocery store the way it should be. If you are a person that enjoys customer service then this is the place for you. This was my first time and it was an experience that provided fresh food, friendly service and a complete experience. Highly recommend coming here!
Not the best Byerly's I've been to, but it does have a fairly decent selection of product and an extensive organic frozen foods section, which I appreciate.
Having a dairy allergy but loving desserts I am always on the lookout for tasty treats without the dairy. The kosher donuts at Byerlys are so good! My understanding though is they only put them out on the weekends so don't go midweek. Also, I've sought out kosher desserts at other Byerlys in the Twin Cities and have found the SLP location to have the best selection.
Byerly's is the old school, upscale, local grocery store. A place where you pay more but get better quality and expect better service. The breakdown in the formula is the latter. This is not a place that understands customer service. Perhaps its just the one in my neighborhood, but, any problem with a price or product is never even considered. The customer is just plainly wrong, when it would cost so little to make the right decision and even agree with customers who are wrong. But not here. Good cheese and meat selection, great deli, a large kosher area for fresh meats, and carpeted aisles. It would be a great place to shop, if they really appreciated customers.
If you are looking for the finest quality in produce, this is one of the best places to shop besides whole foods, however you do pay more, but it is worth it. The bakery is outstanding offering a variety of baked pastries, cakes and delicious breads, including kosher. The meat department both kosher and non kosher are excellent. All in all if you are looking for a wonderful shopping experience and perhaps a cup of coffee from Caribou, I would always recommend this store, and amazing service too.
How fortunate to have such a luxurious store to shop in. for any product that you would not find at your local store, try Byerlys. they have a wonderful bakery where you can also order beautiful wedding cakes and a myriad of different baked goods including kosher.their kosher section is run by competent caterers and butchers and is well stocked. and vegetables at Byerlys are always exceptionally delicious, love to buy fruit here.Whilst one does pay a little more to shop in this store, it is well worth it. Adjoinning the store is a liquor store.
A leader in the grocery industry. A mainstay in the community. Exceptional good old fashion customer service and they don't sweat the small stuff.I love the fried chicken, the every changing deli selections, the cheese experts, the layout of the store, the helpfulness of the staff and of course the selections. The stores at Ridgedale, on France near Southdale (Edina), and the main store in St Louis Park off Hwy 100 are large, two have wine stores attached and places to eat your deli selections. These locally based stores paired with the Lund family stores give that special attention to detail and ambiance you can expect from the home town team.
It took 9 minutes to get service at the deli. A half pound of pasta salad takes 9 minutes on a slow sunday apparently. 3 employees walk by and can't help a customer. When an employee finally does help a customer they ask "What?" Save your time, money, and mind; shop at Cub or Rainbow.
being redone to be even better---full service--drug store---U.S Bank facilities---U. S. Post office on location--right on France not to far from centennial lakes--can buy lunch and dinner and sitting right on location---items in store priced well
High quality groceries, green grocer, fish, meat, Kosher meat counter, salad bar, cheeses and a variety of prepared hot food items. Excellent service. My wife often shops for baking items and spices that are not available elsewhere. Expect to pay for the quality you get. As an interesting side note, our Muslim neighbors shop in the Kosher section and Kosher meat counter as a substitute for Halal. I don't know if Byerly's planned on this market share, but I am /they are happy that this community ids being served.
One of the most elegant super markets in the country!! If you need something special foodwise, this should be your destination. Wonderful deli and bakery!
Good salad bar selections at better price than whole foods. Worth checking out when on the road. We must eat quick and get on with it to the next city plus we can grab stuff for the group of us in the store and continue on. Worth it!
Great place to shop. Store is clean and pleasant to shop in. Staff is friendly and helpful. Prepared foods are very good. Bakery is outstanding.
Rumor has it that when Byerly's first opened many years ago, a group of refugees from SE Asia were taken to the store by elders in their community. The size and scope and abundance of goods available caused some of them to faint and/or weep tears of joy.Byerly's is the last word in suburban food shopping and is a profoundly American experience. So much food, so much variety, so many opportunities to eat well (or not), and then there's the design of the place, which is fabulous in my opinion. Spoke with a woman from Seattle recently who found the store confusing but her favorite store is Safeway ('nough said). To retain its loyal customers, Byerly's has recently become a BOGO (buy one, get one free) haven. That's because a new Whole Foods has opened nearby and it is giving Byerly's in Minnetonka a run for its money. If you want the best organic produce, go to Whole Foods. If you want the best hot food bar, go to Whole Foods. But if you want chocolate covered jumbo cashews, Byerly's is your best bet. If you want the best grocery pickup service, Byerly's is it. It will be interesting to watch this battle unfold over the next year or two and should result in substantial savings as Byerly's cuts its prices to retain its customers.
