We love to rent canoes here. With our family, it is easy to park a car at the end, take the shuttle up and then load all our gear into a canoe for a day on the gorgeous St. Croix river. Then we simply paddle and float the day away. We bring firewood and make a stop for lunch. A box of wine and some snacks make the day even more enjoyable. Everything you need, including transport and a map is included in the rental fee. You can pick the short trip or a full day trip. Neither is difficult and the canoes are the sturdy aluminum type that can fit two adults paddling and two kids sitting. Bring towels, a cooler with food and beverages, sunscreen, bug spray and something comfy to sit on. It will be a trip you'll remember!
