ashton history museum

The Museum is actually called the " DeBoer Grocery Museum"and it houses arifacts from DeBoers Grocery Store, Hoffman's Shoe Repair, Knutson's Clothing Store, and st. Joseph's Grade School and High School. When I visited Ashton in September 2013 I did not expect to find this pioneer times treasure. Ms. Dorothy was very kind and opened the Museum for me on short notice. She showed me around and told me stories attached to different things on display. I purchased a cookbook filled with recipes from the "Good Ol' Days" for only $ 10.00. There is no fee for admission but I left a small donation for the wonderful & friendly service received. You don't want to miss this little prairie treasure! The Museum is located on Main Street right across from the bank on 320 3rd St. Ashton is a very friendly little town, people waive even if they don't know you. You will enjoy your visit!
