Stopped to check out what they had new on tap this Fall. Pleasantly surprised to find a brandy barrel aged wheat beer. Very smooth tasting!
Love the rotating tap and sampler beer offerings. Great appetizers! Had a blast with our friends will be back. Does not have tv for sports but other than that nice place
While not being much of a beer drinker, a friend suggested I stop in here while I was visiting. I'm glad she did. Great sleek modern, but comfortable interior with a great selection of micro brews. The night I was there they were hosting a guest chef, so I can't speak to their normal menu but that evening's fare was phenomenal.
I finally was able to visit this brewery with an interesting history in Cedar Rapids. They have only been open since earlier this year. The service and beer are great. I liked the IPA and workers comp. we had a short informative tour with Alec. The taproom is large, bright and modern. There is a nice variety of food on their menu, we had delicious cheese jalapeño bread with our beers. Order the sampler a- they are all good. This is in an up and coming area in Cedar Rapids and the owner had already own awards for rehabbing the historic building in the Czech village area. I will be back!
We stopped for a few hours and sampled most of the beers. They are interesting and tasteful. It is a nice atmosphere but they need to improve on customer service. The waitress we got was slow to service her area. Food was slow to come out as well. Overall it was a nice place.
Stopped by for the second time today on a Sunday afternoon. Our first time we had the flight, which was a great introduction to what they brew, and the Czech Mix (spicy!) Today I had a half pint of their newest, Sticke Altbier which I really liked. I like an amber beer and this was very drinkable, light body. We also had the Reuben Rolls. OMG these were some of the best appetizers I have had! I don't know how they achieve this perfect balance of meat/cheese lightly fried melty heaven but Bravo! I would hesitate to stop in here for a drink and light snack anytime. Prices are reasonable and service is friendly and informative. Decor is clean and modern.
I cannot attest for the beer as I didn't have any, however my friends with me did and they each liked at least one of the beers in the flight they got. The food overall was pretty much bar food- we tried pretty much all of the appetizers...pretzel were standard, reuben bites were fried but decent, cowboy caviar/aka salsa with black beans was something you could easily make at home. Wasn't bad but wasn't great either. There isn't much of an atmosphere there yet, but that could be because they just recently opened
Lion Bridge is a great place for quality beer and food. I appreciate that they brew their own beer, introducing you to new tastes and the craft behind making good beer. The atmosphere is tasteful, modern and clean; definitely not your sticky-floored dive bar. The food is great for a snack, including lighter options like hummus, pita and cucumbers, as well as heavier fare. They even have non-alcoholic options that are far better than the standard soda or sub-par iced tea. It's a great place to try something new!
Location and design of this brewery are really splendid. Peddle right off of the bike trail and stop in for a beer, snack on Czech's mix, get a growler fill, and back on the bike! Flights are generous; 5 pours for $7. Half pints and Imperial pints available. Rotating guest taps are unique (Czech progressive Koutské). Food is super fun...get the Ruben fritters or Muffuletta Fingers!! Experimental sodas and cider is also available on tap. Not a beer drinker? Bring a bottle of wine for a corking fee. Great space to rent for large groups. Can't wait to see how this space and beer develops.
Had a chance to visit earlier this month, we only had a flight of the beers and didn't eat. This was the first time I have ever ordered a flight of beer and not want to order a pint of something. The Belgian wasnt balanced at all, "aggressively hopped", good lord! I'm a hop head and this was undrinkable. The pale lacked any kind of body. The smoked chocolate stout was the best of the lot, but again, I didn't want to order a pint. It lacked any of the character and nice stout should have. The food looked good, so maybe I will need to visit again. Hopefully they get their beers tasting better because there are to many good brewery's in the area to not have good beer!
