I have not visited this theater between 1975 and when Dana Carvey was on tour. Last night I returned to see Bill Maher. Like most renovated theaters it does not seem as though the rows were adjusted for rise since men were 5'5." That aside the venue is nice considering the city it is located in a cultural desert.

When I was a child, this was the RKO Orpheum. It was a beautiful movie palace. You would walk in and immediately smell the fresh popped popcorn! Popcorn was ten cents. A Coke was also ten cents.Fast forward 10 years and the RKO is now used as a concert venue. HUGE name rock bands coming through. Virtually every concert is sold out. The RKO is jam packed and the rock bands are blowing the roof off the joint! Every big name rock band is playing here! Fast forward to 2014 and the theater is now named the Adler. Mostly Broadway shows playing one show, one night here. Occasionally the Quad City Symphony Orchestra plays here. Yes, the Adler has mellowed out...QUESTION FOR THE DAVENPORT CITY FATHERS (AND MOTHERS): Why not give the Adler the marquee it deserves out front. In the RKO days, this venue had a spectacular marquee. Now the marquee would not even be suitable for a second run $1 movie theater. Please give this venue the respect it deserves. It needs a real marquee!

Theater lovers will not want to miss this beautiful auditorium. The venue is intimate with some excellent bookings to suit all tastes. Right i the heart of downtown Davenport and connected to the Hotel Blackhawk.

Attended 3 concerts in this small, but well appointed theatre. The sound, seating and lighting were terrific. It was the perfect venue for our concerts.

It was our first time there, and was quite enjoyable. We had good seats, and found that the sound was good, but not great. The theater itself was very nice, easy to find, and convenient. We had a great time!

I'm torn as I feel I may have missed out on what everyone else is loving about the Adler Theatre. I've been here twice in the last 6 months and just have not been impressed. I do LOVE the old theatre feel and the history associated with the Adler but the service is not so great. Both times, they allowed people over their capacity limit into the waiting area and both times it was so packed that I nearly panicked my way right out the door as you were literally on top of each other waiting for them to open the main doors into the theatre. Now, there is no reason why first you should allow all these people into the waiting area when it clearly can't hold that many and second, there was no reason either time that the staff couldn't have opened the doors to the theatre. The staff themselves looked clearly uncomfortable with the crowded areas and seemed deathly afraid to defy some higher ups orders to not open those doors into the theatre. At both events, they wouldn't open the doors until 20 minutes before the show started! How odd and dangerous with such large crowds. TIPS: Sit anywhere and no need to pay for the most expensive seats as it's a small theatre and most any seat is a good seat.

There is nothing better than live performance! The Quad Cities are lucky to have this venue to enjoy entertainment from the Broadway Theater and a variety of musical talent. Get your seats early as the best seats are always down front!

The Quad Cities Ballet and Orchestra Iowa are a wonderful team. It has been several years since we've attended a Christmas Nutcracker performance. We will be returning next year and have marked the dates for upcoming performances with the two organizations.

It's a classic art deco house, renovated in the '80's; already a little worn around the edges, but the acoustics are pretty good, the seats comfy and it has enough pitch for short guys like me to see well even in the cheap seats.

What a Venue! Very pretty, reminds me of the Fox Theater in St. Louis, Mo. Comfy seats, attentive bar staff and the beautiful crushed velvet red curtain! Of course, seeing the Burlesque Le Moustache show there totally made it the Show place to be!

We have attended two performances at the Adler. Both were positive experiences.Yes, the Adler could be spruced up a bit I think, but it is not in bad shape either. It appears to be in good 'period consistent' condition.Skywalks give access to either level of the theater from either the Blackhawk or the Radisson hotels via indoor climate controlled walking paths.Hint: If you have balcony tickets you can skip the lower level entrance and go directly to the balcony entrance which happens to be at the skywalk level.

Wonderful acoustics (went for a jazz festival) but would like to go there for a stage show as its potential is immense. Maybe looks a little tired in the entrance as are the seats, but viewing was good from anywhere.

The Adler Theatre could be a grand theatre with additional investment. It is starting to show its' age. Any event you see in the facility will be a very good memory as the venue is small enough that there is not a bad seat in the house. Due to its' age there is very limited handicap accessibility, I would recommend contacting the management before making a ticket purchase if this is a concern for you or a family member.

Lovely old theater with great acoustics. For the festival, they should have put down a dance floor. Nice to have a handy bar in the lobby.

Very good accoustics and a good seating (we sat in the balcony) layout with comfortable seats. An intimate setting that appears to be either recently remodeled or very well maintained.
