Campground is pretty clean, two (man made) lakes "Upper Pine Lake" and "Lower Pine Lake" I think upper is 101 acres, and lower is about 98 acres, if I remember correctly. No powered boats are allowed on either lake. Not a whole lot to do in the area except fish, but there is river tubing available in Eldora just outside the north entrance to the park.Sometimes there a heard of 100+ white tail deer graze in the field just south of the park. There is also a hiking trail that is decently maintained going around the lower lake.

The park was technically closed for the winter but they still allow you to camp. Paying for your spot is on the honor system. One of the main bathrooms was closed/locked for the winter but the other one remained open. Toilets and showers available. Don't forget your shower shoes. We parked and set everything up. Picnic tables were abundant. They were in the process of cleaning up the dead trees so there was plenty of firewood. Unfortunately it was wet from the rain so don't forget your fire starters. We chose a spot off to the side on it's own. There is a circular camping area if you have a few friends and you all want to camp together. Pretty quiet overall. There is a swimming area available. Walking trail which is paved. Eldora is about 2 miles away so if you have forgotten anything or want to return to civilization for awhile it is easy to do. A few local dives so try their cuisine. There is a river tubing business you can book a reservation with and they will drive you to the drop and meet you at the end of the trip. Grocery stores (2) and a couple of gas stations. Firewood for sale at the gas station and also on the main road to the park. We had a great time. We will return if in the area. There are so many little parks in this state, why return to the same one when there is so much more to find? Definitely worth a visit, even if only for a day.
