This is a small town treat. Old barns, old farm equipment, friendly volunteers, local history. Brought back memories of growing up in a small town in New England. Many of the tools looked like what my father had in his garage (guess my age...). Free, but we happily left a donation. Check for special events from time to time.

Not many people know about this place, especially the townies. It is located right next to the highway and the hospital (AmericInn Hotel too). As a barn preservation group goes, the staff of volunteers are dedicated to exposing guests to a rich history. Their tours range from 40 min to 1 hour and they answer all your questions. Not something you can experience in the city, or even most of the rural country in Iowa.
