wonderful big ten campus with a small town feel. Love it in Iowa City. Great sports facility and plenty of shopping and restuarants to choose from. nice college town
I attended this university from 2010-2014. I think it's a fairly picturesque university, with interesting buildings. The university is in downtown Iowa City, so there is plenty to do there (shopping and food), also, you can definitely catch a sporting event, of course while it's still in season.
Attractive campus, very pedestrian friendly. For a visit, see the old Capitol. A spectacular old structure, and very impressive inside. A nice piece of history. The campus is not as attractive as say Duke or Univ of Washington or some others, but still has a charm all its own.
The campus was very nice. A bit icy on some of the sidewalks. Nice central area on campus. Visited Education area on campus and staff was very friendly and helpful.
Take a walk, admire the varying architecture, many kinds of trees and art. Stroll down to the river and follow the sidewalk up to a bridge and over the river and come back. If you need anything, just look around like you are lost for a minute and someone will help you.
The university is located in downtown Iowa City, and the campus is beautiful. You can see the Old Capitol with its gold dome, and it's always fun to go to a Hawkeye football game. There are tons of great restaurants and local shops nearby.
The university covers most of downtown area. It is a nice place to visit. It has the old capital mall, Museum of Natural History and the Old Capitol which is the postcard of the city.
If in Iowa City. take some time to explore and discover the University of Iowa. The campus is an easy, but beautiful walk. You can tour the campus; visit the museum; and take in dinner in Iowa City which is adjacent to the university.
I went there, now my son attends the University and is having the same wonderful experiences that I did. Great education and community!
Great university, beautiful campus, incredibly nice people. Grab lunch at Shorts on Clinton Street and definitely take a stroll through the Pedestrian Mall
Weather your prospective student, alumni, or looking for a nice place to live, Iowa City is worth a look. A great university town with great schools, sports, nightlife, and outdoors activities.
Beautiful, traditional college campus. Everyone is extremely nice and laid back. Their numbers are impressive in terms of rankings and job placement. Overall, a great visit.
We tootled around the campus on our visit. It is a large and beautiful campus. One issue is you can really get lost and turned around. Best to find a parking garage and walk around to truly enjoy! Very friendly campus!
Unless your here for a specific reason there us not much reason to stop by. Not a particularly beautiful campus. Really spread out. Lacks college town feel.
I'd recommend the workshops to anyone interested in improving their writing. There are classes for every genre and the teachers I had were particularly helpful.
