Not much blooming yet, but this allowed us to see the sculptural elements much better. Like the historical aspect of the Lewis & Clark botanical area.
Went for the light show at Christmas, it was gorgeous, very well executed. Cant wait to go back in the spring to see the grounds in daylight.
I'm spoiled now! Love this venue to see a concert at Outlaw Field. It's a beautiful setting for fun.
I've been going to IBG for over 20 years. Nestled at the base of the old Idaho Penitentiary, it's a great way spend an afternoon in history and nature.
A beautiful green oasis in a typically brown portion of the Boise foothills. A great spot for a wedding - I should know!
The atmosphere is certainly great for xmas. The light show is wonderful and they offer refreshments. Its really well done and very affordable.
We actually visited this site for both a harvest festival and the Winter Garden Aglow. During the Fall the flowers and gardens were in full bloom and I was able to take beautiful photos of my daughter and niece. The winter is filled with lights on everything and is amazing! We bought hot chocolates and walked through the gardens enjoying the Christmas spirit and decor. This is something for everyone!
Regardless of whether you are visiting for a concert or a IBG event, they do a great job. With as much as IBG has going on, I believe we'll be joining as members in 2015. Absolutely worth it.
We visited Boise in December. Our hosts had organized tickets to Winter Garden aGlow. It was a wonderful experience. Multi-colored lights are threaded along walkway fences and in tree and bush branches creating a wonderland. There were also model trains, fire pits, cookies, hot chocolate and cider.
If you want a treat or to start a new tradition, this place is the best. I have been a few times to the christmas light display and it is so pretty. I have taken my family when they come to town and were very impresses with the light display. It's our new tradition!
Wow, what a display of lights throughout the garden! We made the mistake of not purchasing tickets online and waited in a very long line in the cold to get in . . . we both agreed it was worth it. Next time, however, we will get tickets ahead of time. This is super for families, and there were plenty of couples and families strolling in wonder and excitement to meet Santa, have a photo with a real rheindeer (caribou) and more. There were fire pits and hot drinks to keep warm. Get tickets in advance and wear a long coat!
Loved visiting this place, you get some great views and scenery from up here. the only downfall was that when we arrived there they were 15 minutes from closing and we were rushed by the lady working there (they were closing at 7PM due to winter times). I heard that this is the place to be during the winter, as it's all festive and decorated for the holidays!
Gorgeous variety of species, well planned for a leisure stroll - something is always blooming. Plenty of sitting areas to stop and enjoy being within its beauty.
If you like well kept and designed gardens, this gem is worth a visit. Be sure to take the time to walk the labyrinth before you enter to calm and center yourself. We visited in early November but there was still enough to entertain. A lot of beauty in a small space.
From Spring to Fall, this is a place to see. Beautiful and very colorful. There is a fee but worth it. If you looking for a place to get married here it is, awesome place. Highly Recommend this beautiful area.
