While attending free ladies night at the races this summer, found out there is a casino next door. It was fun the first couple of times but the place has gone down hill as far as customers. Now that racing has ended, the crowd has changed and not for the better, Saw some homeless guys walking around with back packs and we had a couple of guys who kept standing and walking behind us when we played. I took my parents a couple of weeks ago but all the handicapped parking spots were taken and most of the cars did not have handicapped stickers. Ended up dropping them off at the entrance and parked down below. Recently I talked with some friends and they saw individuals inside the casino that have been arrested by Ada County. They saw there pictures on the Ada County Jail website.
Came with my boss on Ladies Night (free admission) to sit in the grandstand, drink beer, and eat hot dogs. If it hadn't been so incredibly hot and smoky (due to wildfires in the area) it would have been more fun. I would definitely recommend it as a fun way to spend time, especially if you're not a gambling addict. Cost for program, beer, hot dog, and a bottle of water was about $20.
My wife and I went with a group of friends to watch the horse racing on a Saturday night. It was a lot of fun. The crowd is made up of true horse racing fans who are not pretentious. The grandstand is very clean and the limited food service is very good. If you like to bet on the horses, buy the tip sheets sold near the admissions stand. You get some good advice if you don't follow the local racing scene.
My 70 yr old mom came to town to celebrate her birthday and we decided to take her to the race park. Went 1st class with valet parking & turf club patio. The wait staff was very nice, friendly and attentive. Everyone enjoyed the food, I especially liked the finger steak and fries. It was a very hot day and we were glad we had a reserved patio spot under the cover. It's great to see all the improvements at Les Bois. It was clean, fresh paint and lots of areas for food and drink, so the lines were short.
We hadent been to horse races in forever and was very intrigued when we came up with the idea to go to the races on memorial day. We really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere at this nice park. Lots of free parking, reasonable admission fee and good food and drink of the sort you'd expect at a race track :).
I haven't been to the horse races in forever and was very happy that our hosts were open to the idea. The park is a nice well established track with lots of free parking, reasonable admission fee and pretty good food and drink. What a great way to spend an evening with family and friends and even make a little money. We decided that this will be an annual affair for the family when we visit! I just hope they upgrade to close circuit for the infield by next year!
