If you want to know everything about the history of clean, this is the place. It has more brooms - of all different shapes and descriptions - than anywhere else. We were even treated to a personal tour of the facility by Don Aslett, the owner. If it has anything to do with cleaning, it will be in this museum. It is worth a visit.
What a wonderful experience. We took our extended family including 2 kids under 5, and we were all entertained. Mr. Aslett is an amazing host. Keeping children entertained for over an hour is near impossible, but he did it easily. I never thought I would be entertained by a cleaning museum, but we all were.
Don Aslett, 80, is an amazing individual that is so knowledgeable. The things he has in his 74,000 square foot museum are really interesting. Don spent an hour and a half taking us through his museum. It was a very unique experience and I would recommend it to anyone who likes old things and likes to learn. They have a lot of cool hands on activities for kids. You can really tell he loves to collect and share his collection with others.
Loved it. So unique. Took the kids along and they enjoyed themselves. Don Aslett guided our condensed kiddie tour. Would like to go back and do more exploring.
You would think "Strange, a museum of clean? Do I want to go to that?" At least that's what we thought. I am so glad we did. It was quirky, informative and a lot of fun for the kids. The owner is awesome! He took us on a tour and made our day! I will go back here again the next time I am in town. Do not pass this up.
This place was not at all what I expected. It was fun, quirky and informative. Of course, a tour given by Don Aslett really helped. Would definitely go back again as I am sure I missed a lot. Was also impressed that Mr. Aslett did not push his cleaning products nor mention he had a store nearby.
This was an engaging museum led by Don Aslett. What fun we had! He is a master presenter with a deep sense of humor. We will bring the grandchildren. Loved it, loved it ! Kathy from Texas
We are so glad we were able to include this truly unique venue in our vacation! Larry Aslett was our tour guide and he did a great job showing off some of the gems in his brother Don's collection. After the tour was over, he encouraged us to check out the other floors of the building, including the roof. There were some pretty impressive views of Pocatello from up there! I'm so glad that the Aslett brothers have given this very interesting building a new life and shared such an incredible collection with the public. I wish them the best with their creation, and encourage everyone who travels to the area to support them in this one-of-a-kind endeavor!
Don't hesitate to go to this place. It's a fun, interactive hands-on exhibit. Don (the owner) has put millions of dollars and a lot of thought into this wonderland of clean. You are allowed to touch almost all of the collection. Which consists of antique cleaning appliances. Fascinating to see what our recent ancestors used to clean. The vacuums are especially interesting. This place really shines (no pun intended) for the kids. We spent 3 hours here and could have stayed longer. We met Don Aslett. Really great guy. We will go again as the exhibit grows. Well worth the time and money.
got the grand tour by the founder- he was passionate and proud of the accomplishment. Really great fun
I was so glad to be able to tour this museum. What a gorgeous building full of interesting things! We were lucky enough to have Mr. Don Aslett himself show us around all of the collections -- what a treat! We thoroughly enjoyed his sense of humor and vibrant spirit. The children's activities were engaging and there was also plenty for parents to do too. Hats off to an excellent facility that all can enjoy!!! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
A friend and I planned a trip to Pocatello just to go to the Museum of Clean and we were not disappointed! Don Aslett , the owner, gave us a tour and he was full of great stories and humor. He has put his heart and soul into this museum and it shows. There are many activities for children and endless fascinating things to look at. We were there several hours and could have stayed longer. He makes you see "clean" in a whole new way....clean home..clean life...etc. It is definitely a museum not to be missed!!
Wow. Just wow. Saw the Museum of Clean online as we drove through Pocatello on the way to Lava Springs and decided to take an extra day. Great decision. The museum was founded by Don Aslett; a successful entrepreneur, founder of Varsity Cleaning, speaker, and prolific author. It's quirky, fascinating, and educational for all. There's an art gallery too. When we were there Don and his brother were conducting tours! I don't care if you're a family with young kids, if you're traveling alone, or even a Hipster from Seattle. The Museum of Clean will delight.
When I told my four boys we were going to the "Museum of Clean", they all moaned and said "do we have to?" All I have to say is Wow! We all loved it! There were tons of activities for kids and lots of interesting things to look at for adults. We could have stayed all day and even come back the next day! If you are passing through Pocatello, this is a must!
So so happy we made a stop here! My two year son had a good time, well so did mom and dad. So much to do, learn and see. Truly made our trip extra special. Pocatello is a sweet little town. Cheers!
