Don't miss a chance to get on the river if you get to Stanley. We were here in mid-June, just before the season opening. It was just the hubby, me and 3 guides! What a thrill! All the equipment and safety gear were fabulous as it wasn't hot weather yet and the water was chilly. Photographer got some great pics and we even ended up seeing the crew that night at the hotel bar. Felt like family!

This was our first time on the river with young kids ages 4 and 6. We were very happy with our experience with Sawtooth. Jared recommended the perfect level trip. We always felt the kids were safe with just enough excitement. The kids loved sitting right in front. The guide was a lot of fun, very friendly and telling tall tales to keep us entertained. He impressed us all by doing a back flip off a cliff into the river during a break we took on the bank. They had good food and drinks which was nice that we didn't have to think of bringing anything. And we were hungry after being on the river. We also enjoyed the drive up to Stanley. We were able to break up the trip by stopping off in Sun Valley. Stanley is a quaint little town with great mountain views. It was so nice waking up and seeing deer in the meadow. My brother in law knows the area and showed us these natural hot springs that are next to the river. The kids loved sitting in the side of a river in hot water. We checked out RedFish Lake Lodge and really enjoyed having drinks and good food while listening to live music by the lake. I didn't expect it to be such a happening place! Can't wait to have a chance to go back.

From "Piece of Cake" to the to the lunch spot it the most fun a person can have sitting down! Great guides, awesome river, and delicious food make for a complete package full of adventure. Thanks for the many years of great memories and photos.

My friends and I go to Stanley every summer and without fail we go to SAC for grand adventures! Their staff not only take us on a fun filled adventurous trip down the river but they are all full of knowledge of the area. They always tell us the haps and give us the inside scoop of the town's happenings. SAC always ensures us an action packed vacation filled with lots of laughter and fun!

I've visited Stanley a couple times and being able to get on the river with SAC made my trips complete! Both rafting and stand up paddle boarding were a blast. Plus the awesome staff give you the scoop on what else to not miss while in town :).

Our guide Cody was fabulous! We had my 90 yr old dad along and he kept him safe and enjoyed my dad's obvious enjoyment of the ride. We were the only raft on the river that day because of clouds and coolness and we loved every damp moment.

We were a little hesitant about booking a whitewater adventure because we were bringing my 21 year old mother (she's really almost 70 but I did not tell you that). Against my other siblings recommendations and after consulting several reviews on the internet, we decided to go with SAC. The trip turned out great. Our guide, Josh, went above and beyond to make sure my mother felt secure and safe during the entire voyage. We were able to float down the salmon river and enjoy some scenery along with a historical narration of the area. It was great. We would most definitely do this again and highly recommend SAC to anyone.

By far the best experience for a family which has never been rafting. Our children had a great time and enjoyed riding the bull. Josh was a awesome guide which made the trip even better; thanks again. We highly recommend the Sawtooth Adventure Company.

We did the day trip and Jackie was our guide. We had so much fun and the lunch they provided was delicious as well! We would definitely do it again.

My 7th grade daughter had lots of swift water experience, but I was looking for her to get some time in bigger water. SAC had high quality inflatable single rafts that gave my girl and me the most amazing experience in Class II and Class III rapids. We accompanied two larger rafts with families. Both guides were college girls, and great role models for my daughter. Thanks so much Sawtooth Adventure Guides!!!

Took my daughter and her girlfriend for their first whitewater rafting and they were mortified... And excited at the same time. Our guide Tanner made the boat so smooth that I almost wanted to ask for a refund but seriously he was great and Sammy the other guide welcome the kids and made them feel at ease. Highly recommend this place!

Our family whitewater rafted with Sawtooth Adventure Company. We would highly recommend it to everyone. The guides were wonderful,knowledgable , and a lot of fun. They have us some history of the area and the river. They were extremely experienced and quick to help those who fell out of their kayaks and rafts. They all work well as a team and they made us a wonderful lunch. We would definitely suggest you go whitewater rafting in Stanley with Sawtooth Adventure Company. We had an incredible time

Sawtooth Adventure was recommended to us by a local Sun Valley contact. We chose the family half-day river rafting trip with lunch. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff and offered water shoes, fleece, and properly fitted with life jackets. We then took a 15-20 minute bus ride to our drop in point. On the bus, we were given important safety instructions which were reviewed with us by our knowledgeable and skilled guide, Rob de la Cruz. Rob and the other guides worked well together. As all the family rafts floated down the river, we would sometimes race or splash one another, and always waited at the end of rapids to make sure everyone made it through safely. Midway through our journey, we pulled off to shore and were allowed to jump into the river off a big diving rock. The spirit was safe and fun!Lunch was better than expected -- build-your-own wraps with curry chicken salad, mango chicken salad, quinoa salad, ceasar salad, and pasta salad. The setting was clean and beautiful. Professional family photos were taken by staff on shore before heading out and then again during our first class III rapid. We purchased all the pictures on one CD at the end of the day for $20. We had a great time and left with awesome family photos and lifetime memories!

Just got off the river yesterday . . . just WOW! Have been looking forward to this trip for several months now and all I can say is that it exceeded my wife's, my kids and my expectations by a LONG SHOT. Just a first class group of people all around. I could type & type & type about our experience - but suffice it to say that the family trip down the main Salmon (River of No Return) through the Frank Church Wilderness is a truly unforgettable experience. Our kids already want come back in a few years (when they are a bit bigger and stronger) and do the Middle Fork of the Salmon earlier in the summer when the water is running a bit faster. In short - if you are considering doing this with your family - at the very least, give this outfit a call.

We had a great time on the 3 hr. Whitewater trip thru Class 3 rapids. Our guide, Jackie, was knowledgeable of the area, great at managing the steering of the raft & was genuinely friendly. In fact all the guides on duty the day of our excursion were very friendly & it is obvious they all enjoy this gig. I would highly recommend this excursion. Want something a little more challenging?? Book the excursion on the Class 4 rapids, we will do that one for sure next time.
