osprey meadows golf course

The perfect combination of golf challenge and natural beauty. Robert Trent Jones Jr. Did a marvelous job designing this course. Beautiful views of the mountains and lake along with lots of wildlife (Osprey, Deer, A couple of Foxes, and even a Bald Eagle!) made this very enjoyable for my wife and I. I have played over 20 of USA's Top 100 courses and I rate Osprey Meadows a must play!

A very challenging track featuring plenty of marshes and high grass to avoid combined with plenty of sand strategically placed. Many of the course views are stunning. I did find the greens to be bit slow, a bit unreceptive and a few places rolling a but untrue. None-the-less it is a great track and reasonably priced for what you get.The club house is located below the 3 story Tamarack Resort and features a small pro shop with very limited beverage and food services. (So don't expect to be pampered with great food options and constant beverage cart service)

Very challenging layout - lots of native grasses and hazards in which to lose golf balls! We played early September 2012. After a late June freeze, many of the greens and tee boxes suffered and have not yet recovered fully. But overall a very good experience, fairways are beautiful. Good service and a lovely patio balcony overlooking the 18th green for apres golf cocktails. Green fees are reduced from prior years and at $45 for weekend play with cart, good value.

Well constructed using the native riparian areas to meander the layout of the course. Challenging and gorgeous.

Robert Trent Jones Jr. Course. Beautifully maintained and landscaped! Course is in EXCELLENT CONDITION! Call ahead for reservations!! Even though the resort is coming out of foreclosure, this course is AMAZING!! Pro shop has nice clothing and accessories, food and beverage/cart service. Carts are included. Views are wonderful, course is challenging, people are polite and friendly!! Not to be missed - a true highlight of Idaho!!
