If you're into Spa treatments, then you are in for a real treat when you walk through the doors of the Spa Ssakwa'q'n located in the Spa Towers hotel at the Coeur D'Alene Casino & Resort. I went in for a Brightening Facial with Pamela Mollohan on 2/21/15 but my pleasant experience began even before then. With a busy schedule at hand, I saw one of their receptionists, Jenna Martin, outside of the spa and asked about appointments. She checked into it and called me to let me know she had it all arranged. She could have told me to call the spa via phone or come in but she took the time and trouble to arrange it for me. Upon entering the spa, she personally greeted me and took me back into the spa area making sure I knew where everything was. I was able to soak a bit in one of their three hottubs, lounge in one of the saunas until dried off just a bit before changing to meet with Pamela. Pamela's bio says she cares most about age-defying and this fact was obvious during my wonderful treatment I had with her. I walked out feeling rejuvenated and relaxed before playing bingo in the casino and then winning a little money out on the slots. Could not ask for a better day or evening! Thanks to all the wonderful people at Spa Ssakwa'q'n!
I had a facial done, but it included a had rub, shoulders an some deep exfoliating. It was so relaxing an nice to have done. Angie did mine and she is super sweet an EXCELLENT an her job!
We stayed in the sunrise room for my wife's 50th birthday party. The room was perfect to have friends and family to celebrate but lacked some amenities that I would have expected. It did come with a refrigerator but it was so small that a gallon of milk and a few bottles of water were about all that would fit. Some basic silver ware and actual coffee cups instead of plastic cups for the kurig coffee maker would be a nice touch. And more or bigger garbage cans. The one in the room was the same size that we get when we have stayed in smaller rooms at different hotels. I know I am being picky but an upgrade with my suggestions would have made our experience a five star one.
I love to go to this casino because the people who work there are very nice. The slots are a bit looser than Spokane's Northern Quest and the restaurants are great. I especially like the Sweetgrass Café. Very good and reasonable food. And you can order a cocktail and take it onto the floor while you gamble. great service too. Their new lounge makes the best Huckleberry Lemonade I have ever tasted and the biggest for only $4.00.
We recently ate at the Sweet Grass Cafe in the Couer dAlene Casino, I had their Club Sandwich which had smoked turkey and a onion jelly dressing, it was by far the best club sandwich I have ever tasted. My wife had the fish and chips which she said was very good but the clam chowder that came with it she said was out of this world.
I like to gamble gamble from time to time. Poker preferred.Coeur D' Lene (Heart of the Lake), Casino is in no where land, but the natural forest setting is nice. The outside ground is pristine. Parking very good in fair weather. Winter snow makes this place a wood igloo. For a casino it is pretty good. Idaho does not allow cards to be played so if you trust a computer and randomizer this is your place. Me, I like the old machines where the money goes in and the clink clink in the bucket below, new one are computer too.So, the food is ok, casino quality and always a bit expensive. Buffet can be good, and even though they recently raised the salad bar (M-TH) only, to $10 it is still a good bargain. I personal could never eat $20.00 buffet. Salad soup, maybe a roll. For those that have the ability to plow down food enjoy. So the draw backs.1. This tribe should have traded for land down by the Lake, first mistake in Casino building. Aside from missing the HIGH boat traffic and being able to have a boater dance lounge.2. The forest is nice, but all the ugly parts of a hotel are on the back side. Where is the forest? On the back side. So, hoping to see a beautiful forest, is hampered by huge fans and other highly distracting building junk.3. The pool and spa I have been told is good. Again..........where is the LAKE?4. Now if casino's wanted to draw customers they should consider that the world is becoming smoke free. That is the first distraction of the facility. Days you need a chain saw and your own oxygen generator. SUPER BAD, and eating food that covered in someone tar and nicotine is pretty disgusting.5. A small lounge, small dance floor indicates they cannot draw a night crowd for that activity.6. Rooms are Casino quality, usually look nice and clean. A+ for that.7. For gamblers........well I am not excited by computer generated programs, perhaps because I am an IT professional and realize these program are SO boring and simple to build. Casino need to hire someone with VISION like ME.Night crowd is about drawing people, single people need an environment that is encouraging and fun. NOT HERE........you will go home with less money.Time to up the game folks. You should think outside the box and understand the younger people and their habits.I could build business.......probably double profits. Not for FREE
The casino had all of our favorite slot machines ( just like Vegas). We also liked the atmosphere and the buffet was good too. We will go back again.
I recently visited the Spa for a massage. An incredible experience. Quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Great staff. Seriously worth going.
Horrible spa . I give this a one star to be nice. My tech rushed me threw the facial . Never had me fill out a consultation on my skin and got me in after my girlfriend and out before her facial too. (My girlfriends facial was starting the same time mine was but I waiting 5 mins after she left and also got finished before she was done. :( The esthician hurried through my facial and complained how she was so hung over the whole time and how she couldn't wait till her day was done. She never explained anything about what facial I was receiving or what product she was putting on my skin. It actually scared me cause I have very sensitive skin....after the facial my girlfriend and I waiting in whats known as a quite relaxing room while getting a nice view on the remodeling of the outside pool while the workers were working on it with huge Plummer cracks . On top of that we never got a tour of the spa when we arrived so we figured things out on our own. Maybe I have to high expectations for a spa but I have worked in many but nothing quite like this . Good thing my service was a discounted price cause I definitely would never pay full price for that .
First time here. Typical large casino but it was roomy and lots of choices for slots and, overall, was nice and clean. If you're a dollar slot player, though, not so much. There are a few dollar+ machines but they're scattered around and you have to hunt for them. They should just put them in one spot...but...oh well. Tons and tons of penny type slots if you're into them. Hotel is decent. We were in a standard smoking room. It was clean and a typical motel/hotel room. No refrigerator though. Rate was a touch high, in my opinion, for a casino hotel....$109. Ate dinner and breakfast in the buffet. Pretty good as buffets go...but it is a buffet so don't expect 5-star food. Still, not bad at all. A bit spendy though, again, for a casino buffet. Seafood night was $49 for two. I guess I can't complain much though as they comped our breakfast without asking them to. It appears we were designated as "high rollers" because we play dollar slots. Haha. Thought that was kind of funny. For the most part, though, this is a nice place and I'd come here again, except it's a 7+ hr. drive from home. We were passing through Couer D'Alene on a trip so thought we'd give it a try. As for the slots...well, they are what they are. Can't speak for the penny thru 25 centers but the dollar slots were okay. Hit one $1,200 jackpot and we were able to play for quite a while before they did what slots do...bleed you dry. LOL.
Stopped at the Casino after golf, first time visit. Was very impressed with the Casino. Much larger than we expected. Very nice building and many restaurants to chose from. we are both non-smokers, and they have two areas that are smoke free, although, unless there was someone sitting right beside me smoking, we did not find it to be an issue in the smoking part. Will consider staying at the resort next time we are down that way.
I reviewed this Casino 1 year ago but alot has changed so I am re-doing it. The main thing for us(RVers) is the addition of power hhok-ups on selected power poles on the east side parking area. Its not fancy but at least there is now an area for RVs and power available. They have also just re-modeled all 3 restaurants which they are all alot nicer, good food and obviously very clean. They also added a very nice smaller/quieter bar at the newest restaurant which is very nice and pretty slow most of the time. We have also stayed in the new rooms on the East wing and they are very nice, alot nicer than the older original rooms. PJs Destiny plays every Thursday which is awesome(free) as well as various bands on Friday and Saturday night which is nice. We always do fairly well gambling so a bonus. We also trade our points in for free gas which makes it nice as our class A gets maybe 7 mpg. We go to this Casino on average 4 over night trips per month.
Had a facial and it was the best facial I have ever had. She was so informative and did an amazing job. So good that I scheduled another facial in 8 weeks! My husband had a massage and loved it! We have been to a lot of spas and this one rates very high for us!
We have stayed here twice and you definitely want to stay in the new towers. The rooms are beautiful, well appointed and comfy. The older side of the hotel is dated and drab so make sure you book the right room! Good restaurants and a great buffet. Well worth a visit.
The reservation has been making huge additions and improvements the past few years. There are several really good restaurants and the Buffet is great! The casino itself is large and has a good sized no smoking area that is actually pretty smoke free for a casino. I have seen too many who call it smoke free but they are so close to the smoking area it is pointless. This is not the case at the Cda casino. They have a beautiful new spa area and every kind of gambling you ever could want. The circling raven golf course is top notch and rambles through wooded area with abundant wildlife. They also have class A entertainment and shows bringing in big names from the rest of the world. They have a 4-5 star hotel with indoor pool and have more big plans in the works for an RV park, campground, and rodeo grounds. If you are travelling up hwy 95 it is well worth the short trip around the corner to the casino from the freeway.
