Perfect place to grab a beer! It is an enjoyable bike ride from Sherman Avenue. The bar is small and welcoming, which is what makes a perfect local brewery. In addition to the beer being delicious, the bartender (I think her name was Amanda) and other beer appreciators were fantastic. We shared our stories of the road trip that we were on. They provided additional tips and recommendations. The beer, ambiance, and conversations were delightful!

Very nice little setup. We didn't tour, just tried out various brews. Personal fave was the Norse Nectar made with juniper! More peanuts than we should have eaten and I really love the crunch of the shells underfoot! Made for a fun afternoon.

Like so many places around the country, Coeur d'Alene has had its share of growth in the craft brewery biz. While this may be one of the smallest and starkest, Slate Creek has some of the finest brews you'll find anywhere.Located at 4th & Sruce at what was once the local Chevy dealership that now houses multiple businesses, the brewing operation is where the body shop bays were, the tasting room was once the car wash. It's concrete and block so the atmosphere is kind of funky but it makes up for it in fun. Small but cozy, I either see friends or make new ones when I stop by. Decor is great outdoors, canoe paddles have been turned into tap handles and taster serving trays. Good weather brings outside seating on comfy camping chairs. It's a true small batch brewery, you never know exactly whats on tap but all the styles are great. My favorites are their IPA's. Bowls of in shell peanuts are provided to snack on, just push the shells onto the floor. Take your growlers or get one there, Slate Creek brews are only available on site right now.Quickly becoming a local favorite, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up moving to a larger place. I saw recently they are adding more brewing equipment proving their growth is real. Started as a project by a couple brothers, hours are Wed-Sun. If you love good beer and friendly people, make sure you drop by Slate Creek Brewing.

We were in town for the Coeur d'Alene Marathon and like to experience local craft beer so we decided to give Slate Creek a try. Plus it was within walking distance from the CDA resort (little over a mile). Lots of locals to visit with and friendly peeps pouring beer. A variety of craft beers are offered including a seasonal rotator. There's an outside sitting area out back to enjoy the fresh air. Slate Creek also offers what they like to call growlettes which are actually nalgene bottles. Hummm we found our souvenir on our first night out!
