Yes, Magnolia, De is known for its British Links golf Course...but there is so much more.....First of all the sign in front of the Lindale house reads :1896 Magnolia Center of the Universe from which all else revolves!! Not sure if by longitude and latitude this is geographically correct...but it feels correct ?? Then there is the Magnolia Restaurant serving; breakfast , lunch and dinner in a "homey environment". Johnson's Airport, approx. 1 mile outside of town offers Arial displays from mid March and beyond. But you're gonna have to get up early as crop dusting begins between 0600 and 0700. these guys are amazing !!! I love the yellow bi-plane. It's spectacular. Then there is St Thomas More Preparatory school. This is nestled on Plain Dealing Rd. Many a good kid has exited its doors. The sunsets in Magnolia are breath taking , with their oranges, yellows and fuchias. It's a great place to live, and the people are friendly. Come by and visit !!

Our golf trip to Ocean City,MD began one day later than planned due to a health issue to our cat, but thankfully she has recovered from that. We started our trip with this course. It's an ideal spot,as it's just south of Dover and about 60 miles north of Ocean City. We arrived there around 1:30 and we pleased to find that the greens/cart fee for 18 holes was only $20. Being 11/11, we had only about 31/2-4 hrs of daylight, so we had to play fast. This isn't a long course about 6100yds from the whites, so that helped. It was in very good shape; there are some narrow holes, and a good amount of water, but a fair test. We played the last hole almost in the dark,but it was a fun round, however.
