We went to Coleman's again this year for another hayride-bonfire group event. It started off with a 30 minute hayride through the fields, then ended with a bonfire (hotdogs, s'mores). The kids also played on the big playground there. This year we stopped inside the gift shop, which was mostly Christmas ornaments. We noticed that they had helicopter rides now. They were $20 per person & did not seem like they even lasted 5 minutes. I tried to time them when I saw them take off and land. It seemed like about a 3 minute ride. We saw the ice cream stand was open this time and noticed that they carry Woodside Farms ice cream. We love Woodside Farms ice cream, but decided to past this trip.Overall, we had a good time at Coleman's again this year. The hayride is nice & so is the bonfire. They have a decent sized pavilion for your events. Plus it is even sheltered from the wind by plastic, but it still got cold in there once the sun went down. Playground is a nice size, but I wish it had more than just one baby swing. Also several of the slides were cracking & the tepee is no longer covered. So, the playground has definitely seen better days. Note: We have not been to the farm for a regular pumpkin patch picking/hayride OR Christmas tree adventure. Our review is for the group events that they hold. Restrooms are port-a-potties. LARGE Dirt parking lot.

My family goes for halloween and x-mass. We have gone here for over 12 years but the prices keep going up so much so that it is almost the same as buying a fake tree.

For close to 20 years , if not longer, my family tradition was going to Coleman. We ALWAYS got the perfect tree. My children are now grown, and have Children and we all go together.. they all look forward to it. This year we chose to go the first Saturday of Dec. We went on the hay ride but decided we really couldn't afford the $65. tree. So we went over to the trees that we were told were cut that morning. We picked a beautiful full Tree. The man even told us we would be pleased cause this type tree last a long while. Well here is it , 2 days before Christmas and I have more needles on my floor then on the tree. We even cut a small piece off when we got it home so it would suck up water. I water my tree every night before bed, and it is still dying. I am so disappointed and heart broken. I have spent $50 on a tree that I will have to put out as soon as Christmas day is done. I always leave my tree up for Jan 6th. this year I cant. Every thing else was great. My grandsons saw Santa, they played on the playground. They love the hay ride. I just cant see spending that kind of money on a tree that dies so quickly.

Went to Coleman's because their website says trees $45 - $65. Did not want to spend more than $45. Stopped at gate on way in and gave $10 deposit for saw. Nothing else said to us by woman at the gate. We take the wagon out and cut down a tree. When we were there in the past, they had a section taped off for the $65 trees. We were under the impression we were cutting down a $45 tree. We were shocked to get to the gate and are told the tree is $65 plus $2 for baling. Are you kidding me. A$2 charge for baling a tree is ridiculous. Trees at Home Depot are $25 and baling is free. We explained that we wanted the $45 trees and no one told us we were in $65 trees. The woman was rude and said we always tell everyone when they come in that the $45 trees are picked over and the remaining are $65. Well, they sure didn't tell us. Will not go back again.

We visited Coleman's for the 1st time the other day. We went as part of a large group that was holding an event there in their pavilion. When we arrived, we parked on the grass/dirt lot and made our way up towards the playground & pavilion. At that time we noticed that they have a really nice LARGE play area for the kids. They have swing sets, large wooden ships and a teepee. Only downside was that they only had one baby swing & the inside of the teepee was a dirt floor that looked wet. The rest of the stuff was great! Our group had arranged to have hayrides and a bonfire/dinner on location. So, we rode one of the hayrides around the farm. It was really nice. It started out by the playground, took us around the pond (with ducks, geese, peacocks) and around the Christmas tree farm. It was probably a 45-60 minute tractor pulled wagon ride. The grounds were pretty and really relaxing. They have tons of trees! The pond area was decorated for fall/Halloween. It was pretty neat. During our ride, the driver stopped once to give us a brief history of the farm, owners and area. He was really friendly. Plus, we learned some interesting tidbits about muskrats since they live on the farm. He even told us about a restaurant, the Wagon Wheel Family Restaurant, in the area that serves up muskrat one night a week should we want to try it! After our hayride, we made our way over to the pavilion and bonfire area. Our group decided to roast hot dogs and s'mores over the open fires. We used the pavilion (wrapped in plastic to keep us warm) to dine. It was nothing special...just a covered pavilion and lots of picnic tables, but we enjoyed it. Plus the plastic did keep us warm. On location, we also saw that they have Woodside Farms ice cream that they sell in their ice cream shop. We wanted to get some ice cream, but it was closed by the time we were done our dinner (around 7pm). According to their website, it stays open until 8:30pm, but it was DARK. So that was a little disappointing! We saw a BBQ when we arrived, but it too was closed up when we were back from our hayride. It may have been Young's Pig Pickin' since that is advertised on their website. We saw a Santa house and a Gift & Ornament Shop on location that is probably open during the winter holiday season. While we were there they were selling pumpkins out of their pumpkin patch and offering wagon rides to their everyday visitors. So it just depends on the season as to what is going on there. Their website says they offer helicopter rides for a fee, but I didn't see that going on either. Overall, we had a good time at Coleman's. It is a nice place for the family to spend an afternoon. The wagon hayride was enjoyable, the grounds were pretty and the kids playground is super (and FREE). I will probably visit Coleman's again...but next time I hope to get some ice cream or some baked goods from the bake shoppe!! I probably won't go here for a tree though since it looks like all they offer is Douglas Firs. They have a huge selection of them, but we prefer Fraser Firs or Blue Spruce.
