Don't go at high tide tho'.....Access road was an experience - but well worth the trek to this - off the beaten path location. It's in my neck of the woods now - so I plan to visit often; like all Delaware parks this one does not disappoint with the learning opportunities. Can't wait to go again during the season.

Fascinating to go inside and learn about local aquatics. The videos on file showing the comings and goings of the shore birds and horseshoe crabs were amazing to watch.

This is a great little nature center with an excellent deck for bird watching. The staff is friendly and helpful. Be sure to watch the horseshoe crab and red knot video. It's very interesting!

This nature center is small, but well kept. They have some displays on local wildlife, including items that you can pick up and touch from a large display table. There are also several lookout points. It is worth a quick trip.

The DuPont Nature Center is definitely off the beaten path, but worth the short ride from civilization. The staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful, but the views are nothing short of amazing, changing with the weather. The center is a mecca for bird lovers, which I'm not, and it attracts visitors from all around the world especially in the late spring/ early summer when the endangered red knots arrive. I'm more interested in the horseshoe crabs, but to me the best part is the scenery.
