Kids that is! It has a great combination of things for toddlers on up! Swing, slide or play in the large sandbox! Pack a lunch and eat at one of the many covered picnic tables available!
There are plenty of slides, swings, climbing things and sand boxes. My granddaughters love going there. There is a great covered picnic area, so bring lunch and/or snack. There is a water fountain and restrooms. One thing that is bad is that there is no shade by the playground and the material the slides are made out of gets hot.
We go to this park often, as my granddaughter absolutely loves this place. There are two separate play areas, one for smaller children and one for bigger children. My granddaughter, age 3, does both areas. There are swings for all ages, from baby up to larger children, as well. Bathroom facilities just as you enter the play area, as well. There is a large sandbox area for more hands on play, so bring your buckets and shovels, too. The play area is located within a state park so there is a charge to enter, if driving and parking there. Don't forget to pay, else you will be paying a $32.00 parking ticket for not paying.
It's a State Park so you have to pay or have a tag to park here.its worth it, lots to do including sand box, swings, multiple play areas, picnic table area, paved trails, open fields!
Tom Talley, VP at Raymond James and a Rotary Club member, helped spearhead the campaign to get this playground built for physically challenged children. It is spacious and has a variety of equipment. My friends three children (all under the age of 6) enjoyed going there. Although none have physical problems, they like meeting other children and visiting the playground..
Took my grandsons 2 and 4 to check this place out. They loved it. Lots of equipment and very clean including the restrooms. can be hot on a sunny day but the boys didn't seem to mind. We will return for sure hopefully in the fall when it is not so hot and humid and we can stay longer
This is one of the best playgrounds in New Castle County as it has a little something for kids of all ages. There is also enough equipment to accommodate a large number of kids, even groups with toddlers. The only downside is the in-season fee that is in effect from March-November.
Took our 10 and 6 year old grand children. They both enjoyed the experience. The park and restrooms were clean. The equipment is varied and suits all ages.
Grabbed a table right up inside the playground. It was awesome and inexpensive. We ordered pizza, brought cake, opened presents and invited friends. I would do it again in a heartbeat!
Kids love this park, really don't have to watch them to close. very safe place
One of the coolest playgrounds we've ever been to, and I think that can be said for kids of any skills and abilities!
Nice playground tucked into the Alapocas Run State Park grounds near the Blue Ball Barn. You can park and walk in to the playground. Fee for parking (honor system) or free with an annual park pass. Well worth it. Very nice grounds and ever-expanding amenities e.g., vending, bathrooms, picnic grounds and play fields nearby. Links to the trails in the park and Alapocas Woods Run.
Something for kids of all ages. Fun. Nice location with parking. Be sure to read parking signs and pay the fee.
I was so glad that on our way back to New York we stopped at the CAN DO playground in wilmington Delaware. My grandson has downs syndrone and he had a blast playing on the playground because everything that was there he could do with little or no help. He even climbed the rock wall with help from his papops. I would love for new York to make a playground like that.Thank you for having a wonderful playground
