My 4 friends and I decided to try the spa services at Zermatt rather than the usual place we go to in Park City. The prices seemed ok and certainly the online brochure is lovely and inviting, you can check it out here: http://zermattresort.com/utah-spa-resorts/spa-service The services we had were good, the therapists and receptionist were very professional and extremely competent. They are the only reason this place gets 3 stars. Without the great massage therapists, this would be a 1 star review. The problem lies in the set up of the "Spa" itself. If you are looking for a relaxing, comfortable, private spa experience, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. If you don't mind parading around in public, riding up and down the elevator wearing a spa robe and slippers, this is the place for you. The Spa service areas are split on 3 floors. The hot tub is on the ground floor and in a public area. The Spa Reception area for check-in is on the 2nd floor, as are the treatment rooms. The Spa changing area/locker room and treatment waiting area are on the 3rd floor. So we check in on the 2nd floor, take the elevator to the 3rd floor to change in to our robes and slippers. Then we are given a tour of the sauna(out of order), steam room, and the one and only nice shower available, by being lead through a large workout/weight room (also in a public area) that was being used by teenaged boys and their dads. This is where we were told the sauna was out of order. Then we are lead back through the very public workout/weight room to the Spa treatment waiting area to await our turn. Then we load up on the elevator with a group of skiers wanting to use the hot tub so we can have our massages on the 2nd floor. Did I mention we were still in our robes and slippers? After the great massages, we had to go back up the elevator to the changing room with yet another group of people taking their luggage to their rooms. Good massage, bad accommodations equals mediocre service. Definitely not the fault of the receptionist or therapists but all on management.
