I really appreciate the detailed information of what happened this last Sunday. I could respond with a bunch of excuses as to why your trip was missed but I won't. I have a wonderful staff that is always trying their best to provide the best service possible. All I can say is that I am very sorry, as I stated when we spoke on the phone and also in text. I did what was possible to remedy the situation by getting a hold of Ashley who came to the rescue. I comped your ride and tried to make the best experience possible for you and your niece. As you can see in past reviews there are a small handful of dissatisfied customers, we try our best to provide the best service possible but in the end unfortunately we do make mistakes, when we do we try our best to fix the situation. For those interested it is not necessary to have my personal cell phone or email to contact us. That Sunday just happened to be a day I was covering phone and trying to man a booth at a Christmas Expo. I do sincerely apologize and hope I can learn from this mistake and provide better service to those that choose to come experience the many great things there are to do in Utah.

This weekend I went fly fishing with my guide Ryan. It was snowing and I caught a lot of fish! My guide was great. I'm laughing and catching fish. Ryan knew exactly what flies and equipment were needed to be successful. I have lots of great pictures and memories from my trip. I'll definitely be back!

We did the Sleepy Hollow Haunted Wagon Ride and thought it was a blast! This is a family friendly experience but it may be scary for kids who are sensitive or young. I love Halloween, but don't love gore so I really appreciated that the experience was more about the story and anticipation than anything else. The funnest part of the ride is near the end, I won't spoil it but it did get my heart racing just a little bit. We will definitely be back again for a future Halloween.

For the last two Septembers I've had the chance to take my youngest son fishing with Andrew from RMG's.Last year the sun shining, and fishing was easy. This year the flood warning were out, the rain was blowing sideways, and the fishing was hard. It's at those hard times a guide shows his druthers.I have to say I could not have been more proud of the job Andrew did with us this year. Proud is a strange word, but fishing with a guide 30 years younger than oneself, more than once, is like watching a new coach grow up. Andrew is a wonderful fisherman, and loves the sport. And, over the last two years, he's matured into a great guide. We fished in tough conditions. He worked his tail off.He challenged us to be better, worked with us to learn new techniques, and showed us a magnificent river. We caught beautiful fish, (and I'm convinced we wouldn't have without him,) but the experience of the trip was paramount. Thanks Andrew. We'll see you soon.Kevin and Landon Knight

We had a sweet wrangler take us on horse up a mountain rocky trail. It was so fun. She told us stories, and helped us fully enjoy our ride.

I just started seeing this amazing girl and wanted to impress her with a great outdoor date. I have ridden horses most of my life and since I was new to the Park City area, I couldn't think of a better date than to take her horseback riding in the mountains. She had never been riding before and was quite nervous (almost scared). I chose Rocky Mountain Outfitters and what a great choice! Right from the beginning, you could tell she was nervous. They had two guides in the "ring" getting her familiar with the horse, mounting, familiarizing her with the reins, etc. and she was smiling (telling me she was ok). The trip started off simple, getting her confidence up and then we were off! Up an amazing trail and on the way to incredible views of Mount Timpanogos. Our guide was great. Talking to us as we rode, keeping her confidence growing by complementing her riding. The landscape and the guide combined with the stories we all shared as we rode, made it as if we were back in Butch Cassidy days. The staff, the horses, the trail, and the views made this an incredible trip. I would highly recommend this outfit to anyone, from experienced riders looking for mountain views to people who have never rode but always wanted to. When my family comes for the wedding (TBA), Rocky Mountain Outfitters will be a part of that visit for sure!

I had an amazing experience riding the trails at RMO! I would highly recommend going out for a 2 hour ride and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The wranglers there know their stuff and can show ya a good time! I was impressed at how well they handled the horses and the amount of info they shared about the area during my ride. Looking forward to the day I can return with my family and let them experience what I did this past week! Thanks again for everything!

While on a family vacation we scheduled a fly fishing trip with Ryan Newman of Rocky Mountain Outfitters. Our 13 year old son wanted to try fly fishing. Ryan was more than happy to help. He had all the equipment (rods, flies, waders) even took pictures for us! As our son said " he really put us on the fish." They stopped counting they caught so many. Ryan was incredible and I would love for my son to spend another day with him fishing. Thank you for the pictures and I hope one day to make it back for another great day of fishing!!

We moved to Utah a year ago, where our home overlooks the Provo River and we can see people fly fishing all the time. We (my husband, 19 year old son, and myself) finally decided it was time to try this activity out for ourselves and after a bit of online research decided on Rocky Mountain Outfitters. We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice! Our guides, Ryan and Andrew, were so friendly and personable that we felt like we had known them for a long time. After getting to know us for a few minutes and chatting to find out about any of our previous fishing experiences, we were quickly fitted with our gear and on our way to the river. Once we were at the river, they took us to their favorite spots, gave us a lesson in the basics of casting, mending, setting and reeling in the catch. In a matter of minutes we were catching rainbow and brown trout, as well as having a wonderful time being out in nature and enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Lower Provo River. Over the course of 4 hours, we caught a bunch of fish and had numerous bites. Our guides were by our sides all the time giving us valuable tips and pointers on what to do (or not do) to guarantee our success and enjoyment. We would highly recommend Rocky Mountain Outfitters for your fly-fishing experience, regardless if you are a beginner or an experienced, visiting fly-fisher looking for a great river guide and some local tips for a successful day in the water!

My husband, 2 girls & I went on a horse ride in beautiful Heber Valley. We had a wonderful time. The wranglers took great care of us. We've been on other rides in Jackson Hole & Bryce Canyon & this by far was our most favorite! I would highly recommend going for a fantastic horse back ride with Rocky Mtn Outfitters. Thanks Ryan, our guide, for the stories & wonderful day! Tell Sampson we'll miss him and bring him an apple next time!

My four friends and I did the Raft n' Reins in July 2014. The horseback riding portion was done with Rocky Mountain Outfitters while the rafting portion was done with High Country Adventure. We were first led on a guided horseback ride through Soldier Hollow in Wasatch Mountain State Park. Our guides were wonderful (very knowledgeable and personable). The horses were beautiful and well trained. When we got back to the stables they had lunch waiting for us (sandwiches, fruit, salad, water/gatorade). The food was good. They then provided us with a map of where to meet the guides that would take us down the Provo River. We found that location pretty easily. The rafting portion of the trip was also a blast. The Provo River is very mellow, and many people float down it in tubes, so don't be expecting rapids. But the scenery is amazing, and our guide was great. All in all a really fun day and well worth the money!

I spent the morning fishing on the blue ribbon Provo River with Joe from Rocky Mountain Outfitters. What an awesome experience! Caught some fantastic fish and the scenery with the sun coming up on the Wasatch mountains was spectacular. I really enjoyed the morning and we landed the biggest Rainbow I have ever seen! I'll definitely be back again. Thanks, Joe and the Rocky Mountain Outfitters team.

I was looking for a good fly fishing experience for my 16-year-old son so I booked with Rocky Mountain Outfitters. What we experienced was far beyond any of my expectations. It's no wonder this was last year's Orvis Guide Service of the Year.... These guys are phenomenal! The guide took time to teach my son about the river and taught him fly-fishing 101. In an hour he was casting and mending line like he'd done it for years. He landed 16 brown trout by mid-day and had the experience of a lifetime. Thanks to Joe for taking such good care of us! We have already booked our next fly fishing outing with RMO. I highly recommend these guys... You won't be disappointed!

My group and I had the most amazing time thanks to Joe and the team at Rocky Mountain Outfitters! We started with a train ride through the Heber Valley Railroad. The ride was entertaining and the scenery was breathtaking through Heber Valley and along the Provo River-- we even saw deer and other wildlife along the way! The train robbers were a riot and played their parts so perfectly! After we were saved by the "lawmen" we loaded onto Clydesdale-drawn open wagons, where a 20-minute ride through Soldier Hollow took us to the most adorable and authentic "cowboy village" nestled in the trees. The staff were all amazing people-- they are real cowboys and cowgirls who genuinely care about their guests' experience, and they were very knowledgeable about the area. The dutch-oven cookout was excellent-- everyone enjoyed it! Paired with a live (and talented) bluegrass band and cowboy games, this experience offers something for children, families, and even corporate groups alike. I highly recommend this full package tour to anyone looking for an authentic Utah cowboy experience.

We booked the combination riding and fly fishing trip. My wife and I are avid riders and being from Florida fish regularly. I booked this outfitter because the site said they were Orvis Fishing endorsed. I have been to Orvis endorsed hunting and fishing venues before and have been generally happy. Though the people are friendly and I am sure capable, this is for tourist only not someone looking for the world class fly fishing advertised in Utah. The riding is standard livery style head to tail riding though the horses were very sure footed and the scenery good on state land. Lunch was a box lunch purchased at a local store. Best to go on a full stomach.
