Last week my husband and I spent a morning snowshoeing with Tyler McGavin. It was my first time and honestly, it was one of the coolest things I've ever done! Tyler is a class act! He responded to our phone calls, emails, and texts very promptly during the planning process before we arrived in Park City. On the day of our tour, he picked us up from the location where our children were enrolled in ski school in a beautiful black Suburban. He was on time and very professional. It was the perfect clear sunny day! We drove out to a trail and Tyler outfitted us with snowshoes and poles. He even put them on us himself and secured the straps. He was a pleasure to spend time with and shared lots of stories and fascinating information about the area. He was very knowledgeable about the local history, flora, fauna, and wildlife. The experience was physically challenging, yet exhilarating, and Tyler is great about pushing you but making sure you are within your limits. Safety was always a priority! Tyler is trained in all of the necessary first aid and safety procedures. We hiked about 8000 feet up, taking breaks often. Tyler was so courteous and attentive. He really thinks of everything! He kindly provided and carried, in his backpack, lots of water for us. He even carried the layers of clothing we shed along the tour as the morning sun began to warm up and we started working up a sweat. The best part is that he is an avid photographer! He took over our camera and took several hundred pictures of us and the surroundings during our tour. We are so appreciative! When I first spoke to Tyler, I told him that I really wanted to see some wildlife. During our tour, we got lucky and saw the most beautiful moose! Tyler took us off the trail toward the moose, making sure to instruct on how to be safe and avoid provoking the moose. We simply observed quietly from a distance. So cool! On the way down from the mountain, we went completely off the trail and snowshoed downhill through a grove of gorgeous aspen trees, carving out our own path! Our tour with Tyler was the highlight of our stay in Park City. After the tour, he dropped us off at our hotel. Please do not miss this opportunity! We recommend him without hesitation. We hope to have the opportunity to go there the next time we are in Park City.

Not only did Tyler and his team successfully lead our large group (mostly first-timers) on an amazing snowshoe tour that became a highlight of our trip - they were professional, organized, knowledgeable and fun every step of the way. They thought of everything in advance so there was nothing for us to do but enjoy, and they even managed to plan a thoughtful surprise for us (knowing we were celebrating a special event). We'll have great memories of our experience and look forward to doing it again one day. Highly recommend!!!

First time snow-shoer here and I'm hooked! Tyler and his team picked us up and took us to Iron Mountain. Besides getting us all geared up (even waterproof liners were provided for our non-waterproof city shoes), Tyler also gave us informative tips on perfecting our snow-shoeing form and interesting facts about Utah and our immediate surroundings. Tyler and his crew accompanied us, watched over us, challenging us on different parts of the mountain and even played photographer when we needed them to! Overall, an unforgettable experience!

Tyler & Co. led our group of 13 city girls up Iron Mountain and back down again with everyone's sense of humor intact! Our three guides were friendly, goofy, knowledgeable and very patient as we stopped for frequent water breaks and photo ops. (They even took pictures for us with multiple cellphones.) They carried water, snacks and our various personal items in their backpacks. The tour was peppered by random facts about the trees and nature around us. Tyler definitely went the extra mile for our party and went out of his way to make our visit to Park City special, so thank you Tyler!! I highly recommend Utah Outdoor Adventures.

I've snowshoed several times before but never enjoyed it as much as I did today. Tyler and his fellow guides took a huge pack of city girls (13 of us, from all across the country) on a beautiful snowy hike up Iron Mountain. We stuck to a trail on the way up but went off on our own in the powder through the trees on the way down. Gorgeous and exhilarating. All gear, plus water, snacks, and great company, was provided. Highly recommend!

Tyler never ceases to amaze us with his awesome-ness! This is our third year in a row snow shoeing with him and the third year of having the time of our lives. He took us, our kids, and our friend and her kids. Everyone had a blast and learned a ton (he is SO knowledgeable when it comes to Utah and its history). As always, we were sad when the adventure had to end. And by the way, did I mention he is one of the nicest guys around? DEFINITELY spend time with Tyler when you head out to Park City. You won't be sorry.

What a fun adventure we had with Utah Outdoor Adventures and our guide, Tyler McGavin! We've been snowshoeing before, but this was THE BEST experience. Tyler tailored the outing to our needs, made it fun, added a few challenges here and there which were great, shared knowledge about the area and the nature surrounding us. Who knew termites were such great tree artists?! He happily took tons of photos of us as we explored so that we had memories to share with family and friends. Oh, he had water and snacks for us, too! Tyler is so nice and engaging - it's like we have new friend. We can't wait to get back to Park City for another adventure with him!

Tyler McGavin is awesome!!!! He took us to Empire Trail near Silver mine through aspens and pines. Tyler was informative interesting congenial and so helpful. We had the adventure of our life! Will definitely tell all of our friends!

Tyler took me and a friend out on a Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago. When I called to reserve, he had other tours for the day but still made time for us. He had everything we needed with the covers for the snowshoes, water and snowshoes themselves. He took us on a nice trail that was good for beginners. Tyler was friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable about the area and was like going out with a friend. Highly recommend him.

Tyler picked us up at our house and took our family of four snowshoeing in Deer Valley. Gave us a great tour of the old mines which really interested the kids. Provided snacks, water and even carried our jackets when the weather got too hot. Very attentive and worth the very reasonable price. He even stopped at the market so we could pick up food for lunch. I recommend him for any snowshoeing adventure. He knows the environment and has a tremendous amount of information to share. Don't miss out!

Tyler McGavin took my sister-in-law and I snowshoeing yesterday. He was an awesome guide. It kept it fun and challenging. The scenery was beautiful and he could not have been more attentive. He was great at pointing out the different things we encountered as was able to tell us a lot about the history of the area. It kept it really fun. And he is also an great photographer. He took some great pictures! It was a great morning. I would highly recommend using Tyler if you want to snowshoe when you are in Park City.

I heard about this service through a friend, and was really looking forward to my day. I got in touch with the service, and communication was great. On the day of our adventure, we were picked up in a very nice suburban, and the guide brought us water, along with all of the equipment we would need for the day. He was very knowledgable, and was also very friendly. He carried all of the equipment for us, and was happy to help however he could. I would highly recommend this service for a great experience at a very reasonable price.

Had a fantastic time with Tyler, on our snowshoe adventure. My wife and I and our 12 yo son had a blast . It was our first time snowshoeing and we definitely want to do this again...may even buy our own snowshoes. Tyler picked us up at our hotel and gave us a great tour. He was very knowledgeable with Park City history...took us on trail and off trail snowshoeing. He was great with our son and taking family pictures. Compared to another tour we did he was very good about checking on how we were doing and taking breaks as needed for rest or food. He even went out of his way to help me with some Go-pro problems I was having. Highly recommend going with Tyler for an awesome snowshoe adventure.

My recent snowshoe tour with Tyler McGavin was the perfect way to spend a free morning while visiting Salt lake City. I was able to meet Tyler at a visitor center and head to a nearby trail. Tyler was excellent at gauging my ability level, giving me tips on the sports as well as filling me in on the history of the area we were exploring. Tyler not only supplied all the equipment I needed, but he also carried my water for me. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Tyler provided outstanding service. We booked him through the concierge at our hotel. When it looked like it might rain, Tyler easily accommodated a change. He provides all of the equipment, including booties to cover your shoes. He helps you on and off with the booties and snow shoes and makes the whole experience smooth and trouble free. He is incredibly cheerful and his only interest was in us having a good time and getting exactly what we wanted out of the trip. He doesn't impose his agenda on you; he tailors the trip to what you want or need. I'd definitely use Tyler and Utah Outdoor Adventures again. This is not a big tour company but a owner operated business which makes it more like you are going out snowshoeing with a friend.
