两次到盐湖城大教堂，一次巧遇教徒婚礼，一次更是遇到大型宗教活动。教堂院子里姑娘们持各自擅长的语言牌子，志愿为教徒做翻译。诺大的大教堂院子里熙熙攘攘好不热闹。

作为一个园丁,我觉得Temple Square的区域非常壮观。花床被护理的完美。盐湖城的每个人都非常乐于助人和令人愉快。这是个奇妙的地方。我自己在这里呆了几天,感觉非常安全。

昨天是我第一次参观这里。被摩门教徒们坚定的信念及以家庭为核心的思想深深打动。他们对贫困人士的关心让人备受鼓舞。他们愿意为上帝的一切子民做出奉献。会议中心很壮观,能容纳21000人,不过用于有些表演的话,只有站票。除了摩门教徒,它也接待其他人。对当地社区做出了伟大贡献。此次游览经历改变了我以前对摩门教的偏见,彻底消除了报纸上那些关于他们负面宣传所留下的印象。如果所有基督教派和摩门教一样,共同拥护一个真理。相信世界会变得更加美好!

花园很漂亮,各种各样的花儿在盛开!寺庙的图书馆令人惊讶,你可以在里面研究个好几天!临时帐篷很有趣,只是如果那天唱诗班有表演的话就更好了!!

这个地方真的很高级。可以去访客中心咨询指南,去办公楼问和私人向导相关的问题,二十六楼还有观景台,会议中心也可以问到私人向导。

多么宏伟的建筑。据我所知建筑物底部墙壁有16英尺厚,顶部有9英尺厚。导游知道的很多,人很好。非常不错的体验。

I'm not LDS but I can appreciate gorgeous architecture when I see it. The Temple is beautiful and so are the grounds around it. The people in the area were friendly and we got to see a few happy newlyweds taking photos by the fountain.

This is always a nice place to walk around and to view some of the LDS buildings, perhaps, have a lunch in one of the restaurants there. The only thing is that you can be easily be bothered by "sisters" who are just coming to you suggesting more info on the church.

This is a must see when visiting Salt Lake City. We walked around Temple Square for about 1 1/2 hours checking out the 2 visitor's centers, Assembly Hall and The Tabernacle. Then we got to hear the 30 minute organ recital at The Tabernacle which is given Monday thru Saturday at 12 noon and on Sunday (not sure of time). Fantastic to hear the organ. Guides all around are friendly and helpful but not pushy.

Its good to have enough time in hand in order to enjoy the place as also know about its history and present functioning style from the friendly missionaries.

I walked around Temple Square early on a Saturday morning (7:30 AM). The visitor centers weren't yet open and the square nearly empty. I don't feel comfortable being approached by strangers for any reason (but particularly to discuss religious views) and I was happy to find myself almost completely alone to take in the architecture and soak in the history. Since I'm already familiar with Mormon history and since you can't enter the temple at any time if you're not Mormon, I didn't feel that I missed out on much by going before everything opened.

It was wonderful how well orchestrated the interaction of guides to the temple square was done. There are several young adults on missions to help you understand the Mormon religion. It is a bit of a hard sell but definitely appreciate their enthusiasm. Gorgeous setting and try to hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir during their practices on Thursday evenings.

I am not Mormon and don't agree theologically with the book of Mormon; however, I found Temple Square a very interesting place to visit to learn about a people and their beliefs. There are two visitor centers in Temple Square that are worth visiting while in Salt Lake. They are also equipped with nice bathroom facilities.I would recommend visiting the Mormon Tabernacle, which is open to the public. You can see the famous organ and hear the remarkable Mormon Tabernacle Choir rehearse on a given night of the week. The orchestra at Temple Square, in my opinion, is one of the best orchestras in the country. If you have a chance to hear them play and the choir sing, you will be blessed by the experience.There are plenty of helpful Mormon missionaries and personnel on hand at the visitor centers to assist and to share more with you about the Mormon faith. I found them to be most friendly and not pushy and respectful should you desire not to engage in conversation. The grounds are beautiful to walk about and the attractions very clean and safe. There are many statues in the square with plaques that give further facts about such works of art.I found the model of the Temple in the south visitor center very interesting. You can see the various rooms of the Temple and learn more about how it was built and the importance of executing the building of the Temple with such excellence. It really is a marvel to behold.Next to Temple Square is the large LDS center which seats some 21,000 people and houses the large pipe organ and choir loft that you see televised at Christmas time when you watch the PBS specials featuring the Mormon Tabernacle choir and orchestra. A beautiful hall to see and visit if given the opportunity.There are other surrounding buildings that I did not have a chance to visit that one may also find interesting. In particular the Family History building supported by the Mormon Church. A local brochure can give you further details. Temple Square is definitely worth a couple of hours of your time when visiting Salt Lake City.

I had to visit this place, simply because I associate Salt Lake City with the Mormon Church.I was quite amazed and the size of the buildings and the whole atmosphere.Well worth a visit. The buildings are simply amazing.Take some time and just wander around and absorb the whole feeling of the place.

The Temple and other buildings are interesting, beautiful. The people and the atmosphere scream white bread, jello and blandness. While we didn't eat in any of the restaurants, the menus were models of blandness. The young missionaries are all over, and eager to chat you up, until they find out that you know something about their religion. When you ask questions, they quickly revert to how "ya' gotta have faith," and then by giving thoughtless, stock replies to sincere questions. For instance, I asked several people where the golden tablets were, I got a variety of answers, including that the angel maroni took them to where he came from (inconsistent with the Book of Mormon), or that they were "not on view," since it was better to have faith that they were there, than simply see them (makes no sense). finally, all the people that I spoke to, suddenly had appointments they were just about late for, and dashed off. Actually, kind of humorous. I certainly didn't mean to offend or upset these kids, but merely asking any questions seems to perplex them. But this place is absolutely worth a visit, on the basis of interesting and the architecture. Just in case anyone is wondering, you can not enter the temple if you are not Mormon, and in good standing (tithed, wore the special undergarments). But there is a model of the inside of the temple in the visitors center.
