We had four adults and three kids and took the long trail ride. (FYI, the owners want you to call ahead by a few hours to book a ride.) They were very nice and we all had a great time on a perfect-weather day. The family we went with has ridden here before and will do so again. And none of us know anything about riding; we didn't need to.

We came here for the evening wagon and pony rides. Everyone in our group had a nice time. The kids enjoyed the pony rides, and everyone enjoyed the wagon ride and feeding the horses. The bonfire at the end wasn’t anything special but they did provide fixings for smore’s and some soda’s. It was very crowded and seemed a little like a cattle drive because they had numerous back to back wagon rides. One group did a pony ride while another group did a wagon ride while another group finished and went to the bonfire. Even so it was nice and relaxing and for the price we would recommend it. People were extremely friendly and the scenery was beautiful.

My fiance and I took the long trail ride in the beginning of September in 2014. Our horses were very well mannered, and we had a fabulous time. The ride consisted of many beautiful views of the Tennessee landscaping. We are experienced riders, and this was a perfect ride for us. I would recommend this to anyone interested in horseback riding in the area. Just be prepared for some steep hills!

Time to ride but the rain began, sprinkles at first then the down pour. We were offered money back or reschedule; a time later in the day was offered, we took it. The time came, the sun was out and puddles everywhere. If I had small children with me I would have declined; a family was there they chose to ride. The trail was wet, very wet, but our guide seemed at ease, I was at ease as I have ridden many times in all conditions, horses are very tough and resilient. We rode over slippery rock, creeks, and puddles, through mud, wet grass, up hill down hill, through the beautiful forest. I enjoyed our exciting excursion, enjoyed my horse (not your typical beaten down trail horses), strong, a little heady but well mannered. I believe our excursion could be viewed by someone who was not accustomed to horses, skills/abilities as dangerous, especially for children. I spent time getting to know the staff at the stable with more than one visit just to check out the stable, horses, and staff. I believe the staff to be very knowledgeable, competent, and caring not only for their horses, but the public at large. They matched the horses to us, lined us up according to, I believe, ability and horse. They gave instruction for basic riding pleasure, as well as for adverse conditions as they arose ( i.e. how to traverse a slightly steep decline). Our guide was male, and a true cowboy/horseman... I never felt endangered, I have to say it was an exciting excursion. He made an effort to engage with the children, whooping now and then while keeping a watchful eye on them, and all.I highly recommend this stable for any level horseman/woman, child. They have ponies and horses for anyone who walks in. I had a wonderful time and will happily take my family anytime they wish to ride. I do however recommend a dry sunny day for small children, but that's a parents call. I feel the staff would have nixed the children had there been a serious danger in riding that day.

My husband and I recently went to this stable for a trail guided tour and ride. We had a great time. The tour guide (Peewee) was awesome. He was friendly and told stories of the land on our trip. The scenery was beautiful. It was along a river and in the shade for most of the ride which made it that much more enjoyable as it was a hot day. I will say all the staff was very friendly and the horses were beautiful and seem to be well kept. I would recommend this place to all. While your there, say hello to Peewee.

I had the chance to take a last minute trail ride. The staff were very accomodating considering they booked me for a trip in less than one hour. The trails were great, with fields, waterfalls and wooded roads. My horse, Gunslinger, was a sweetie. I will definitely be back to take a longer ride.

The horses very good for any level of rider and the trails, up and down hills, through creeks and around fields offer more views and interesting flowers and shrubs than anywhere else I have rented horses for trail rides.

Ok so I am sure the trail dries out but we squelched through the mud at a snails pace. Not exactly what I had in mind. The horses are quiet and gentle though and seem to be very well cared for! Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.

My husband and I have been on 3 horse back rides this year. By far this was the best one. The staff are so friendly and take pride in work. The barn and the horses are very well taken care of. If you are out that way would highly recommend

Yes, the horses and the views are nice. And the staff was nice. However, be aware that the staff may be smoking in the barn and on the trail. The people in front of you might be smoking... and you end up with a face full of smoke the whole time. For a business that caters to families, a non-smoking policy would have made for a much better experience.

Besides trail riding myself several times the past couple years, my grandson has enjoyed a pony ride every year since he was two. For just $10 he got a great ride being lead by one of the stable hands around the barn and grounds. As for the trails, they are beautiful. The people at the stable are so friendly and the horses are well mannered and sure footed,

We had a WONDERFUL afternoon on a long ride on Wednesday 6/12 while we were on vacation. You were all awesome!!! We will be back on our next visit and will tell our friends to go for a ride when they are in the area. Thanks so much for a fun afternoon!!!!

We visit Wildwood Stables every year when my mother-in-law and I take my children and neice to Fairfield Glade Resort for a week in the summer. The trails are always well kept and the trail guides are always helpful in pointing things out and explaining how to keep your horse on task. For younger riders, they will mount a horse and the staff will lead them around the farm yard. This past June was the first year all of us got to ride the trails together! The staff is always friendly and helpful and truly in love with what they do.

Having had our own farm and horses, I'm not a fan of trail rides, but this is a good way to spend an afternoon with visiting grandchildren. The facility was clean, the horses look well cared for and the staff was very helpful and solicitious both in making sure that every one was seated properly and also during the ride. A bit costly but a very nice amenity for this resort community. The kids had a good time!

We wanted to do something different during our annual family Tn vacation and decided to try horse back riding. We were not disappointed. It was an awesome experience for our family of 4 that includes 2 teenage girls. We did the short trail which lasted about 45min. It was perfect for beginners. We plan on coming back and doing the longer trail in the summer.
