Cedars of Lebanon is a fairly nice park. It is pretty cool with the history concerning the cedar tree forest being depleted then replanted forest becomes one of the largest forest of cedar trees. The trails are all easy to hike being pretty flat terrain. The problem is the trails aren't marked very well. Especially where multiple trails cross each other. We went for what was supposed to be an hour hike which turned out to be three or four hours. It was confusing where the trails crossed and I guess we took the wrong one. We ended up still hiking on the trail in the dark. It got a little scary because my girlfriend has health problems and we only meant to hike an easy hour. So if you go be careful. We did complain to park about trails not marked. Take supplies in case you get stuck on trail after dark like flashlight, water, lighter, jacket, etc.. It is pretty in its own way. The cave and well was cool. Have fun !
Big 5 mile loop if ya have 2+hrs. Cool sink holes near the trail. This park has alot of potential. Hopefully they will update it soon
The group we were with had problems with booking, suggest printing out all rates, and data when you go. As there is no grocery store, get your groceries in Lebanon, and bring your own wood if you plan on a bonfire. The park is enjoyable, great for camping....expect noise from groups.....popular place. Our group enjoyed the outing, even through it sprinkled a bit......oh, bring a tarp and line to cover picnic table and area you want to sit.
Large walking areas back to nature. Good biking and hiking trailsGood camping area and private cabins.
Cedars of Lebanon is very large, and has facilities for groups and events. They have a charming, but ill-maintained frisbee golf course. There are some trails, but honestly, the park sits in one of the least scenic areas around. Hills and waterfalls abound nearby, but the park is mostly flat.
This place has special place in my heart because when i was a little tot, my family would pack up a picnic lunch or KFC and got to Cedars of Lebanon and stay the full day to meet with friends to swim, play basketball, softball, football, family reunions, church trips, summer day camps, hike, visit nature center, horse back rides, ride bikes and etc. This place is huge and well kept and it also has rental cabins. Alot of memories, if nature is your thing and have some time on your hands give this place a try
Cedars of Lebanon was great and we really had a fantastic wedding party at the club house/shelter we rented for the evening. They had all the tables, chairs, full kitchen and stage which turned out perfect for what we needed.
Had never been, so we drove through the park. It is a beautiful park with a butterfly garden and nature center. Unfortunately the nature center said it was closed for lunch. We were there a few hours and no one ever opened it. The park has a huge swimming pool.
This is a very old fashion town. They painted the buildings so they inspire you to walk around. One building that has a welcome sign for the town on it has what looks like an original Coke sign painted on the bricks
A great park, beautiful cabins. We found many interesting activities for young and old...especially enjoyed WPA DAY
We enjoyed just riding around exploring the park, and saw so many wonderful things there. what I love about the park is the beauty of nature, and the horse back riding that is only $20 per person for a 2 mile ride thru the wooded area of the park. It is a few miles south of I 40 on US 231 S. Good for travelers with RV and travel trailers. You can rent cabins, camp, swim in the large pool, or have functions in their nice building. Oh, they even have a Frisbee area too!
Love camping at this park because of its location between Nashville and Murfreesboro. This would be an awesome park if it had sewer hook ups for campers and RVs.
There is so much to do in this park. All we done was hiked, but the trails where cut out great, lots of even land, and not to strenuous, at least not on any of the trails we walked. Alot of history here. There are also a few geocaches scattered throughout the park!!
The park was free to visit and drive thru. They had trails to get out and hike and also horseback riding. There were picnic areas that were clean. We passed a huge pool. Kids would love it! It would be worth paying and taking some time to swim.Cabins and camping all over. Very nice and clean. The park was not that far off the Interstate. Maybe 20 miles or so.
The Cedars of Lebanon is a beautiful park to visit. It has very nice cabins, and the center station has activities for the children. I really liked their museum where we could learn about the wildlife and caves in the area, and the children loved being able to hold some snakes there. We liked the nearby cave we could walk to as well. The hardest thing was to actually find where to check in. The building was not clearly marked, and we passed it three times before we were finally told where to go to check in.
