muddy pond general store

We make a point to visit the Muddy Pond General Store every year. Great items, love the baked good. This is such a quaint area to enjoy the quiet.

We think the Muddy Pond Sorghum is the best we have ever had. We have made 3 trips there for the sorghum and other baking items. On our last trip to that area for sorghum we discovered the Muddy Pond Sorghum Mill just 2 miles northwest at 4064 Muddy Pond Road. Near the mill is a small general store owned and operated by the Guenther family who make the Muddy Pond Sorghum. The store has sorghum, lots of enamelware, beef jerky, etc. We thought the prices were a little cheaper at the Guenther's store than the Muddy Pond General Store. Both places are neat to visit. I think it would be great fun to go when they are actually operating the mill.

This place has a great deli, supreme cooking staples (vanilla extract, sorghum, etc.), nifty crafts upstairs. Browse and shop!
