general longstreet museum

The tour guide at Crockett Tavern Museum recommended we stop at General Longstreet Museum. It is a little out of the way, but if you're interested in the civil war, then make a stop. The tour guide was informative and entertaining. Unfortunately, we got there after 4:15pm, so we didn't have the liberty of taking our time. One thing for sure, if I'm ever in this area again, will make a stop back here earlier so I have plenty of time to learn, explore and see.

Little out of the way Museum and the only communication museum in Tennessee. It is on the Tennessee Civil War Trail and an important part of the Eastern TN battle history. Check the website for time of operation and other info. If no one is in the office, they are probably in the main house. Don't pass it up!
