Worth a visit. Very beautiful and interesting, Walked over here before seeing a show at the Opry. Would be neat to stay here, but have seen that it is extremely expensive. Worth stopping in though, walking around is free!
This place is just.... huge... giant... the biggest hotel atriums I've ever seen. Beautiful plants and flowers. Waterfalls and creeks even with fish. There are 3 large atriums, one even with a boat ride. There are restaurants and shops, all upscale and wonderful photo opportunities. Very interesting to explore. We even saw a wedding going on with a nice backdrop of tropical flowers. The only minus was that even self-parking was about $22 per car. Just to look around it seemed too expensive.
Even if you're not staying here, it's worth a visit. The atrium's are right out of special effects. The gardens are beautiful and maintained meticulously. As you walk you'll pass by the live studio of WSM 650AM “The Legend” station of all that is country music, which also, is live at the Grand Ole Opry at night. Because of the proximity, walking the hotel, the Grand Ole Opry and Opry Mills (huge indoor shopping center), is relatively easy. While we were there for an afternoon, the Wild Turkey Sportsman Convention was happening. Quite an event, that's why there were no rooms available at the hotel. It's about 13 miles outside of Nashville proper.
Just incredible gardens! Exquisitely kept and groomed! Definitely worth seeing..Visited the hotel and gardens before going to a show at the Grand Ole Opry next door.
I have traveled far and wide and have stayed at some of the best hotels that this world has to offer; Opryland Hotel Gardens is among the four or five hotels at the top of the list. Opryland Hotel Gardens is expensive but, for a special occasion or a special gift, this hotel provides an unforgettable experience from beginning to end. This very large, sprawling hotel has a waterway, many fine places to eat and drink and is fully covered in a glass roof from the elements. The indoor lighted water features shoot ten stories into the air as you watch from stone benches lining the pond. One of the restaurants sits alongside an electronically controlled water feature that makes dining absolutely romantic. Just when you think this is the ultimate, a piano comes out seven or so stories up with a superb pianist who plays to you while you dine! Of all my hotel experiences, this is the only hotel in which I had to study a map to find my room. I even lost my rental car for an hour searching the wrong parking lot. This place is huge!! More casual dining could be had at a restaurant close to our room that featured true southern fare and hospitality. Extraordinary!
This is definitely a place to visit. The grounds are beautiful. What scenery there is here. As always the people are very nice.
We had the opportunitiy to enjoy this fabulous site during Thanksgiving weekend when The Opryland had decorated for the Christmas holidays and the gardens were made even more beautiful with the holiday decor. The gardens evoke a calm and engaging presence for all who enjoy them.
Beautiful place to see, especially at Christmas time. We could have spent hours wandering the gardens if we were staying at the hotel.
Obviously the best time to go is christmas. The light show is spectacular. It's great for just wandering around with family and enjoying each other's company.
Positively breathtaking gardens and water features. BUT, if you are not staying at the hotel, they want to charge you $21 to park!!!!! You can park for free behind the hotel or Opryland Mall and walk over. Worth the walk,
