Cano's Castle was built by Native American Vietnam Veteran Donald "Cano" Espinoza as a thanks to God for having his life spared during the war. It is built out of beer cans, hub caps and other scrap metal. You can't go inside, but if you are in the area you should stop by and wonder at this marvel of human ingenuity.
Amazing structure that is actually lived in. One of those places that you won't forget. A couple of blocks east of the main street in Antonito.
Just a few blocks from Antonito's famous Cumbres and Toltec Rail Road stands one of the most unusual dwellings in the United States. It is an all-aluminum house made of more than a million beer cans. The house conists of a main floor and two towers, and several out buildings. It is easily one of the strangest structures in the United States. This is a residential street, but plenty of parking is available. There is no entry into the property, as the owner still lives there. This is primarily a photo opp, but it is so close to the Railroad that it would be a shame to miss it.
