Well crafted vodka prepared entirely from local produce. The tasting room is warm and inviting, and very tasty selection of cocktails. Vodka available through local distributors but you have to visit the distillery to get hold of their very tasty rye whiskey.

Excellent coctails and their spirits are also excelent. Drinks are somewhat expensive, as are the appetizers.

The craft beer market is Colorado is legendary, and the wine from Palisade, CO is well known, but the real secret is the craft distillery market currently making ripples. The Woody Creek Distillery is without question the best craft distillery in Colorado, and I'd be willing to bet, one of the best in the country. Take the full tour and have your mind blown at the level of detail, and money, the owners have put into the operation. Breathtaking isn't strong enough of a word. The tasting room is comfortable if not warm and elegant. The bartenders are excellent, and the drink menu a lot of fun. Of course the spirits are amazing! This is a good way to soak in the local vibe of Basalt, and the Roaring Fork Valley.

On our recent stay in Snowmass, we took in an afternoon at the Woody Creek Distillery, located about 6 miles from Snowmass in Basalt. It was an excellent way to spend a few hours. We enjoyed learning about how the distillery began, the cycle of growing the potatoes (locally) for the vodka and the plans for the future of this business. The facility is beautiful inside with a lovely and inviting tasting room. The tasting menu and suggestions were appealing and satisfying. The suggestions on how to use the vodka were most appreciated. Enjoyed the tour and explanation of the process to making vodka. A welcoming place to spend the afternoon.
