As a veteran I love seeing memorials like this set up for those who have sacrificed. This particular memorial is set up in a very nice way. You can view the art and plaques while walking alongside the pond. There are benches and tables, making it a good place for a lunch or picnic. I work just down the road so sometimes I walk up there on a lunch break just for some quiet reflection.
I have run by this fine memorial a few times, and I always pause to think of the sadness of the events on 9/11. This memorial is a fitting monument to the terrible events. Damn al Qaeda.
This is a beautiful memorial to our country's great tragedy. It's in a large open park and you can walk to it and also enjoy the other art pieces sculptured by local artisans.
Small memorial, but beautiful and nice place for reflection. Odd location, but nice pond and right by the library. No parking specifically for this, but short walk from library. Wish there were more to it though.
It's a great thing to have in the area, but nothing special. Just a nice place to reflect. I think that's the purpose.
This is the first 9/11 Memorial I have visited on the continental United States. This memorial is a little of the beaten path. So much so that when I asked for directions from the hotel staff they did not know it existed. I had learned of its existence through Trip Advisor. The memorial is comprised of three statues. One is of civilians helping eachother walk away from the carnage. The second if of an exhausted firefighter leaning on a piece of steel from the World Trade Center. A police officer comforting a child is the third statue. There are also three tableaus depicting the World Trade Center, Pentagon and the field in Pennsylvania where one of the hijacked flights crashed. This memorial is in a very peaceful setting that assists one in reflecting respectfully on the events of that terrible day and upon those who lost their lives
If you are in the Broomfield area, this is a must see. Take a moment and walk the garden. The memorial is wonderful.
This memorial sits behind a small pond in Broomfield's pleasant Community Park, near an amphitheater where Broomfield used to hold its 4th of July fireworks celebrations. But those celebrations were moved to the larger County Commons (where I imagine this memorial might have been more appropriately located). Parking is convenient at the nearby library, The Bay Aquatic Park, or the city and county building. Access is also convenient via Broomfield's extensive network of bike and walking trails, and by public transit (bus routes 51 and 128). If you come, consider enjoying taking a walk through the park (you can walk a mile or more westward if you like) or through "The Field" open space located ~250 yards to the north of the memorial.
The Broomfield 9/11 Memorial is the perfect place to go and reflect on the events that made an impact on our country. If you are ever in Broomfield or live close enough you must attend the 9/11 event. The is also a piece of the World Trade Center incorporated into the Memorial.
